CHAPTER TWO

Hayran's pov

The buzzing of my phone interrupted my beauty sleep. Hissing loudly I reached out to the phone beside my side drawer my eyes still closed. Without checking d ID I placed d phone on my ear "hello' I said. "Don't tell me u're still sleeping' my best friend Ashmiee said. " Yes soo?? ' I said still annoyed that she woke me. "Oh common do u know wat d tym is??' she asked. I removed the phone from my ear to check the tym only to that it was already twelve o'clock. "Hello?? I heard d idiot said." Oh my goodness it's twelve already I said "yeah it is and am on my way too'  " your wayy??  I asked clearly confused. "Arrghhh to your house u idiot. " Oh ok happy coming. I cut d call without waiting for her reply. I got out of the bed and stormed into the bathroom to do my morning business. After about an hour of long relaxing shower I performed abulution as it was almost tym 4 zuhr prayer and came out of the bathroom only to meet my so called best friend lying on my bed giving her phone her complete attention oblivious of her surrounding. "You're here I said as I went straight to my vanity table she got a little startled hearing my voice as if not expecting me. "What you doing I asked while rubbing cream on my soft skin." Umm natin she said masking her face with a big smile. Something is fishy I thought looking at her through the mirror. "Sweetheart are you busy today' Ashmiee asked putting on an innocent face " what are you up to I asked looking at her suspiciously. Well.. umm.... " Just spill already I know you want something. "Okay I want to some ice cream plzz she said giving me her best puppy eyes." So go get the ice cream I said trying to get an outfit from my closet. " Can you come with me plzz she said tailing behind me. " Where. "To cold stone of course. " Noo am not going. " Plzzzz sweetheart. " Nah am not coming I said bringing out my  blue abaya. " Plzz plzz plz plzzzz she begged tailing behind my every step. " Ashmiee... " Plzz just say yes she interrupted before I could finish my sentence.  " Plzzzz she added. " Fynnn but we won't stay long I said finally giving up. " Yes I promise thank you thank you  you know you're the best right. " Yeah whatever let's pray first. Yh let's pray first with that she stormed to the bathroom. After our prayers we went straight to ummi's room. "Assalamualaikum we said both in unsion. " Walaikumussam ummi said dropping her Quran. Ina wuni ummi (good afternoon ummi) ashmiee said while hugging her whilst I jumped on her bed watching the two." Lafya mamana yakike (fyn how are you) "am good ashmiee said."Masha Allah ummi said while patting her head. Am telling you ummi loves ashmiee more than me likewise mommy ( Ashmiee's mom) loves me more so we're even. "Hajjia ummi ina kwana I greeted." Yanzu garinki ya waye Koh lazy girl kawaii I wonder how you'll manage in your husband's house ummi said dramatically. "Don't worry I'll be just fine I said. "May God help you ummi said. " ammin fah ummi said da addua ashmiee said looking everywhere but me." Nikam get off my bed ummi said folding her hijjab. "Umm ummi I called jumping out of her bed." Yes you can go but don't stay long. " I didn't even say anything. "Will you get going or should I change my mind. "No we're going take care,byeeee ashmiee said dragging me out the room. " Here ashmiee said throwing me her car keys." Why I asked obviously confused. "To drive she said getting into the passenger seat."you're crazy am not driving. "Plzz I promise I will drive when we're coming back. " Fyyn I said getting into the driver's seat.

The drive to cold stone was a thirty minutes drive with my so called best friend disturbing my eardrums. After parking our car,we got out and went inside.on our way in I accidentally bumped in to a guy or should I say he bumped into me.  " Oh shitt are you blind he said irritated. What the... " Excuse me mister you bumped into me and instead of saying sorry you're asking me if am blind. Who the hell do you think you are. I asked furiously. "Let it be hayran ashmiee said dragging me by my arm. "No wait first let me teach him a lesson I said wiggling my arm from her hold." Just forget it hayree look you're creating a scene ashmiee said still trying to get hold of me." You were making a call when you bumped into me so you should be sorry cos you clearly were not  concentrating on where you were going to I said almost breathlessly. "Hayree plz she said almost getting irritated with my attitude." Look he's not even looking sorry I said. "Hayreeeeee ashmiee said. " Let's go I said giving him one last look.

" Hayran wlhi you were too rude ashmiee said taking her strawberry ice cream. " Oh puhlese I said fidgeting with my spoon. " But..... "Ashmiee plzz I need to go home." Fynnn she got up and we made our way to our car. The drive home was in an awkward silent  until I decided to break the silence " are you mad at me I ask fixing my eyes on the window. " Of course not she said still fixing her eyes on the road too. I sighed " am sorry I said giving my full to her. " Hey don't be it's ok. " Tnxss sweetheart. " Wlcm ashmiee said giving me a big smile. The rest of the drive home was comfortable with us talking about everything and nothing.

After reaching home we prayed Asr  before ashmiee left leaving me alone again. Getting tired of staying in my room I went out and went straight to the kitchen. " Amraah what are you doing here." Oh am just making something for myself." What are you making I asked sitting on the kitchen counter. " Umm just some pancakes for me and ya musty. That was when I noticed ya musty sitting on the kitchen island. " Oh hyy big bro. " I thought you were blind he said rolling his eyes. "Am so sorry. " You better be he said fixing his attention back to his phone."am telling you ya musty is a no nonsense man oo hmm ba a tsokanan sojaa.  " Soo baby sis mind sharing your pancakes with me I asked " but wait the last time I checked, you don't like pancakes I said before she could reply my first question. " Yeah I just felt like giving it a try u know and yess we can share she said smiling at me. "Now that's wierd I thought. " What's with you and being nice to me I asked looking at her questionably. " Nafin  she smiled sheepishly. " Ok oo. She served our pancakes with date syrup we ate conversing casually with ya musty saying one or two things then taking back his attention to his phone." Where's ya Nana I haven't seen her today I asked Amraah. " Oh she's gone to visit ya zayyad. " Oh was all I could say and we continued to eat in silence. Just then Sadiq came in and straight to the kitchen after saying hi's to us. He's always quiet and calm. That's why I love him.

After dinner I too my bath then prayed issha before retiring for the day cos I was exhausted.
