Because you weren't employed anywhere fancy you had a budget. Being the person that you were, you indulged in good food. Culture was important but also quality. You usually got takeout and left it at that. And being that you got Chinese food a lot, it was just easier to learn how to use chopsticks.

Now that you finally got out of college and paid back your debts with a trust fund your parents set up, you set off to find a job. Applying wasn't the issue, however. It seemed when you applied to work people thought you were 'overqualified'.

When you finally got a job for a while, it was with local police in DC. The issue wasn't the job, it was the people.

They constantly belittled you and said you were stupid. This was only because they were jealous of your smarts and qualifications. So, you left.

Your job change was only successful because of your supervisor. They all just wanted to get rid of you, but your supervisor wanted you to move onto better things. So she recommended you to the FBI's BAU.

...

It was your first week and you were excited. Finally, you were with people that were at your intelligence level. A buff man walked up to you as you walked through the glass doors of the BAU.

"Heyyy mamas, what can I do for you?" He was dark-skinned and bald but had some facial hair. It's not like he was ugly by any means.

"Oh- I am looking for Derek Morgan. He was supposed to introduce me to my new co-workers." You smiled brightly at the man.

"Well, you are in luck. Hi, I'm Derek Morgan." He put his hand out for a shake and you grabbed it with a firm grip. Dropping his hands you fidgeted.

"Hi, my names (Y/n) (L/n)!" You blush and ducked your head in embarrassment because you didnt recognize the man. Scratching the back of your neck you looked back up from your feet. He started to walk forward and introduced everyone that was at the round table.

When the meeting had ended an older man and your new supervisor Aaron Hotchner spoke. He said, "Wheels up in one hour, Morgan I expect you to help get (L/n)'s go-bag ready for her first case."

...

In the middle of a case, they went out for food. To discuss the case or take a break. No one knew which one it was. They still did it for whatever reason.

The Chinese restaurant they choose was a pretty basic one. They had classical dishes and some more modern ones. They had a wide variety of spicy and savory foods. So of course they had chopsticks.

It was a family-style serving table. So it was round and everyone had their plate. The courses would be set out in the center and everyone would pile their plates. You, having done this with takeout easily grabbed what you wanted from each plate with the chopsticks.

Morgan had noticed this and was impressed. "So (Y/n) you seem to be good with those, mind teaching Reid how to use them?" The table erupted in laughter and Spencer sputtered out a very convincing, "Its l-like foraging with number two pencils!"

The whole table laughed again. While Reid threw out facts JJ and you were discussing how to make it easier for him to use. JJ asked for the chopsticks and tied her rubberband around it. When that inevitably failed Greenaway suggested moving seats so you and Spencer could sit next to each other.

After a while of trying and failing to help him understand how to use them, he started to get the hang of it. That was until he pinched too hard and they slipped. One stick was thrown across the table while the other landed on the floor.

"You know what, just get him a fork!" You yelled at the table. Once again everyone laughed.
