~Mute~

part 1

It was a warm summer's evening, the sun just touching the hills in the horizon as the sky melted into a pink and orange tone. Lance smiled and took a deep breathe and felt the refreshing air fill his lungs. The wind rustled, and the trees replicated its invisible movements.
  Lance felt so, so undeniably, profusely happy. He watched as his niece and nephew run and play in the fields. Lance took a sip of his lemonade and chuckled.
" I cant believe they're almost five" Lance's sister said as she sat down next to him.

"Yeah... before we know it, they'll be going to college" lance chuckled.

"Uncle Lance! Uncle Lance! Tommy lost his tooth!" Lance's niece yelled, running up to him holding a tooth.

"Wow! Better hang on to it Tommy, or the tooth fairy wont come!" Lance smiled, patting him on the head.
  Lance and his sister continued to watch his niece and nefew occasionally talking about the garrison and other things.

"Hey Lance, mijo would you do me a favor?" Lance's mom called out from the kitchen.

" Si mama! I'll be there in a sec!" Lance replied back, standing up.
   He walked into the kitchen and leaned onto the counter as he watched his mom cut vegetables.

"What is it mama?" Lance asked.
  She placed the knife down carefully next to the cutting board and faced lance.

"Yes mama? " lance raised an eyebrow.

"Wake up" she said.

"What?" Lance sat up a little, confused.

"Wake up." She repeated, voice more firm than the last.
   Suddenly Lance's vision went white.
After a few seconds he gained his vision back. Lance was laying on a cold hard floor, in a dark cell.
"Just a dream.." lance muttered to himself as he sat up. With out warning the metal door opened and a low voice spoke.

"Haggar would like to speak to you"

Lance stood up and walked to the door. The guard put cuffs on him and walked him to a room. The guards chained him against the wall as they chuckled at the gloom boy.

"I've never seen a prisoner not resist before...makes the job ALOT easier." One of the guards commented. At that moment Haggar walked, her face was smug as she stared lance in the eyes.

"You've been very mouthy lately. I dont like that." Haggar began.

"So unless you want this to hurt more than it alrighty does then keep your mouth shut. Do you understand?" Haggar continued.

"I dunno do I? " lance muttered under his breath, looking at the floor.

"What was that?"

Lance looked Haggar in the eye almost daring her to kill him.

"I. Dont. Know. Do i?" Lance said louder then he bargained for.

    Haggar scoffed and eltricuted him.   Lance screamed in agony, tears overflowing his eyes. He wanted to fight back but it was no use. Lance has been imprisoned for almost a year in a half and voltron still hasn't saved him.
   Suddenly haggar stopped and sighed.

"Ugh you're so annoying; wont you ever stop talking?-" instantly haggar's eyes went wide.

"OOH I KNOW! " she yelled abruptly.

She turned and a big screen shot up from her palm. After a few seconds of silence allura and the rest appeared.

Lance forgotten what they looked like even his best bud hunk.

"Lance! Are you ok? Did they hurt you? We thought you were dead!" His friends voices echoed in his head as he hung there motionless. He tried to look up but it felt like the strength was sucked out of him. After minutes of useless questions haggar spoke up again.

"If you want him alive I'll gladly trade him for my son, lotor" haggar grinned.
 
Soon after awhile of negotiating they came to a agreement. Tomorrow lance would go back to voltron on a abandoned planet.

Before lance knew it, he was on a galra ship heading towards a planet. He was cuffed and had a blindfold on. He didn't know why but he just did. Lance was just glad he got to go back to voltron.
1 because he REALLY needed a shower and 2 he wanted to be back home....at least the home he had now. When they arrived lance stood next to haggar, or at least who he thought was haggar.

"Give us lance first!"shiro yelled.

"Hmmm...I'm not exactly done with my toy yet so hang on a sec." She said grabbing Lance's shoulder and pushing him to the ground.
    He landed on his stomache, his breathe hitched as he took the pain. Haggar used her magic to make lance levitate off the ground then flung him around like a flag.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Pidge cracked, tears streaming down her cheeks.
    
"Fine...give me lotor" haggar scoffed dropping him on the sharp gravel again. He winced once again rolling onto his back; still trying to process what was happening.

             (Time skip cuz I'm lazy)
The trade was successful but haggar continued to speak.
      "Geez you guys really are dumber than you are strong" she laughed.
   
     "What are you talking about."keith asked half heartedly.

"Take off his blindfold" haggar smerked.

Keith didnt think anything of it until his eyes met Lance's. His eyes were dull and his lips were pressed into a straight line. The ocean eyed boy loss his spark.

"Nothings happening-" Hunk started right before Lance's screams cut him off.

      Lance's body hurt like hell. He fell to his knees clawing at his neck.
Every breathe felt like knives shifting on his throat. Lance's screams pierced everybodies ears but haggar's. She was laughing like a maniac, practically rolling on the floor. Minutes later Lance's screams turned into quiet sobs. They rushed lance into the ship and shot haggar one last glare.
