It's the fourth of July and Lance's family are watching fireworks explode into the night sky slowly fading into the darkness. Lance's niece and nefew giggling away playing with sparklers.
He gazes into the noe colorful night sky as he listens to his mother's conversation with his sister, Veronica.
"Mijo, what do you think about this!?" His mother asks with a sharp tone.
"Think about what momma?" Lance turned his head to face them.
"Your sister's got a boyfriend AND wants to go to his place for Christmas.!" Lance's mother explained exaggerating the "and" part.
Lance's eyes widen In disbelief.
" WHAT!? NO WAY!" lance didnt know she had a boyfriend let alone a crush.
"Since when!?"
"Since may~" Veronica said proudly.
"Uh...congrats! Imma go play with Tommy and Nadia! BYE!" Lance got up and ran; avoiding his moms lecture.
But suddenly a familiar voice echoed in his head.
"-ance, Lance...wake up it's nearly lunch time."
His eyes fluttered open. 'Not again' .
Keith's face came into vision as he sat up. An eyebrow raised on Lance's face, clearly showing his confusion.
' ugh who's who?' Lance asked himself.
Keith slid a white board to him signaling for him to write.
Little did he know that what lance would write would break his heart.
