Wake me up when chapter -01- 7/10

Pain.

That was the first thing that I could remember.

It was the worst I had ever felt in my life. The pain was coming from every where but I felt it most from a pounding headache. It was so bad my world slowly went black and fell into a blissful sleep.

When I finally came to my headache had dulled a little. Now I could focus on the rest of my body.

Pain in my muscles. Pain in my head. Pain in my bones. Everything hurt. It hurt to move. It hurt to whimper and cry, to open my eyes, to wiggle my fingers and toes. There was a throbbing pain behind my eyes and teeth ached. I felt chubby and bloated every where. I couldn't even swallow the blood that was pooling on my mouth.

All I wanted to do was sleep but the same pain that brought me under shoved me back up again.

I must have looked pathetic. Blue, purple and blue covered me from head to toe. I must have had multiple cuts all over my body. I could feel the blood dribbling out of them and rolling down to the ground. I could feel the blood dripping out of my mouth onto the ground.

Scratch that. I must had looked ghastly. Like a solider just walking off the battle field. Great.

It took me hours to even stay conscious. I kept blacking out from the pain or the exhaustion of trying to open my eyes. The only way I knew time was passing was because the sun was closer to me instead of off to the side. How did this happen?

When I finally got my eyes open I had wished I didn't. The light was blinding. The sun was directly over me now. What a nice way to find out. So, no more trying to open my yes now. A distant memory of a girl posing for a picture of her kissing the sun came to mind but was gone as fast as it came. Now what was I thinking before I dosed off? Oh yeah, no opening my eyes.

What about moving? I clenched my stomach muscles and tried to sit up. Again, I had wished I didn't. I was instantly met with a different kind of blinding pain. Okay, so no more big movements. Got it. My fingers! That's a good thing to start with, isn't it. As soon as I moved my fingers I forgot about all of the rest of my body. It felt like someone was cutting my fingers apart from the inside. I instantly cried out and, against the protests of my body, sat up.

I opened my eyes and with great discomfort looked at my fingers.

The were twisted and angled in weird ways. I looked at the rest of my body to find it looked exactly like it felt. If not worse. I was blue, purple and black. I did have many little cuts oozing blood all over my body. I was bloated and chubby. Not only that but 7/10 of my fingers were broken along with one leg and by the looks of it a very badly sprained ankle.

What the hell happened to me? The last thing I could remember wa- wait, what? Pain. Shit. What happened before that? I couldn't remember a single thing. I didn't hit my head that hard did I?

Trying not to think about it any more I thought of ways to get up without moving my leg.

I shifted my hips a little and let out a cry. I moved my other leg and tried to get up like that. I cried out again. Ugh. This was going to hurt whatever way I did this. Thinking about that I stood up as fast as I could to get it over with.

Bad idea.

The world started to spin around me. I stumbled. My body tried to make my broken leg catch my fall and I ended up on the ground in a different spot. I landed in a heap of groans and in the shade. Great. Where did the shade even come from? For the first time I focus on my surroundings other than the sun.
