I believe that everything happens for a reason of both good and bad. Identifying and acknowledging those reasons will help you grow and better yourself in the near future. These "reasons" are what's bringing you down, what's hurting you the most and these "reasons" are people.
85 percent of your life revolves around people. You go to school with people, you work with people and those people help shape your personality and your happiness. Your happiness is so important so that you, mentally and physically are well.
Here I present to you all, my top 5 steps in identifying the devil/devils *fake friend/s* in your life
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 1 - They don't support you
It could be simple as making a small choice but then for the person to oppose to it and not support you on your decision. Real people acknowledge and congratulate you on your successes, so a person who doesn't do this needs to be shown out of the door. Non supportive friends who bring you down can make you question your self worth and that's -
T O X I C.STEP 2 - They compete with you
Devils see everything as a competition and tend to compare and speak down to you about lower marks or losing in a sports game (for example). Real friends are realistic with identifying your downfalls with you, but help you strive to be or do better next time. Friends that compete against you, are just being selfish and love to see you at your lowest so eliminate them as soon as possible.
STEP 3 - They only come to you if they need or want something
There's a difference - We all need things sometimes from our friends, but when your "friend" only contacts you when they want a favour constantly, you're basically their helper, their go to for needing assistance whenever and wherever. These people are not your friends, their using you to get what they want because they know you'll do it.
STEP 4 - They only seem to talk about themselves
When it comes to chatting with your friend, their favourite topic is themselves. They always talk about them and only care about themselves. Even if you were to talk about yourself or an issue, they agree and relate your situation back to themselves. They often forget what they've told you and repeat themselves and brag about the amazing things happening in their life.
STEP 5 - They spread hate and rumours about you
Your real friends dont talk behind your back, nor talk about you in a negative way. Understand these people are not your friends and are bringing you and your name down. Jealousy can often be one of the reasons they talk about you, but other than that the words coming out of their mouths are not most likely not positive things unfortunately.
Friends will continuously come and go throughout your life, and we just have to accept that and be decent human beings, and be mature about these things. Not everyone is meant to be in your life and try to understand that. We're all growing and changing everyday, and because of this we're moving on with our lives and going down different pathways to satisfy our interests. Losing friends can be so hard sometimes and I can totally relate! It's not fun and it's not fair but try to not take it to heart too much because at the end of the day, if it wasn't meant to be then we just have to accept that and move on.
