Ryann's group had been attacked by Raiders while out on a run. Ryann was a part of that group and had the worst injuries.
The members on patrol at the gate saw the returning group carrying Ryann. They quickly told the members at the bottom to open the gate and let the group in.
The medic of the camp, Emily, quickly ran out to Ryann.
"Talk to me Ryann, what happened?" Emily asked as she ushered the people carrying Ryann to a table.
"That fucker Jace threw acid on me! He stole all our shit!" Ryann screamed.
Emily began to pour water on Ryann's leg to rinse out the acid.
Ryann's ear piercing screams could be heard across the camp, not even the towel she was given to bite down on could muffle them. Ryann eventually passed out from the pain.
When Ryann woke up, she was in the recovery area of the camp. Her face was bruised, her arm had been bandaged, and her leg was still uncovered to let the radiation out.
Jenny walked in and immediately noticed Ryann's leg.
"A-acid rain?" Jenny's eyes widened as she approached Ryann's bedside.
"Oh um, yeah, but it's not bad." Ryann tried to cover her leg with a blanket. Ryann was downplaying the situation so that Jenny wouldn't be triggered.
"You were out in the rain?" Jenny yelled uncovering Ryann's leg.
"No, I was attacked, but I'm fine I swear." Ryann panicked.
"You must be in so much pain." Jenny began to shake.
Ryann knew she had triggered an episode with Jenny.
"No, I'm okay, really, please Jenny just leave I'll be okay." Ryann tried to calm Jenny down, but it seemed like Jenny wasn't listening.
Jenny got up and went to Ryann's belongings where she found a knife.
"Ok, ok, Jenny please relax." Ryann began to scoot up in her bed as Jenny approached her with the knife.
"I can help with your pain." Jenny softly smiled.
"Emily! Ebi! Help now!" Ryann called out.
Jenny looked at the door and back at Ryann, "It's a shame that the Rain takes everyone." Jenny's tone changed, she was no longer herself.
Jenny lunged at Ryann with the knife. Ryann fell on the floor and attempted to crawl to the door. Jenny stabbed Ryann in the leg and dragged her back. Ryann kicked and screamed to little use. Ryann turned around and Jenny got on top with the knife over her head ready to plunge it into Ryann.
Ryann grabbed onto Jenny's arm, trying to hold her back. The knife was barely above Ryann's chest.
"I can't help it, the Rain has you." Jenny cried, continuing to force the blade.
Ryann could no longer hold Jenny back and, the knife dove straight into Ryann's heart.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Jenny muttered over and over again.
With her dying breath and a tear streaming down the side of her face, Ryann whispered, "It's okay, I don't blame you..."
Emily and Ebi rushed in to see Ryann dead on the ground and Jenny with a knife in her hand. Ebi quickly disarmed Jenny, but Jenny began to scream and fight Ebi. Another member came in and grabbed Jenny. Jenny quickly got out of his grasp and sat in a corner hugging her knees.
Jenny began to mumble to herself, "...rain rain go away, come again some other day..."
The others could barely make out what she was saying.
"What are we going to do?" The member asked.
"We wait for Enza to come back." Emily replied.
"She won't be back until a week." The member said.
"Enza will be back in a day or so, word travels fast. You think she hasn't heard about the raid already?" Ebi scoffed.
Everyone was holding back tears as they began to clean up the room and let the other members know about Ryann's unfortunate death.
