Kingsbury Academy for the Fine Arts was the most prestigious school in all of Earth. It has an acceptance rate of like less than 3 percent, and it's an honour just to get waitlisted. If you were not the best of the best, you would need strong connections to get admitted.

I was very lucky that my dad was a board member, and every board member has a reserved place for their children, if they ever decide to attend the school. But I had not been spoon-fed this opportunity, I certainly worked my ass off just to pass the entrance exam.

But as I was saying, the Kingsbury Academy was reputable and distinguished in the world, maybe even the whole world. At least, that was until the word got out that there was something floating through the halls, infecting every student in close proximity.

Kingsbury went from being a pretentious school to one of the most feared places. It was just like Chernobyl, everyone in an 8 kilometre radius evacuated. This was not a privilege the students and staff could have. We were stuck in our own little world. Little did we know that the virus Zoe contracted, was just the beginning of a deadly pandemic that shook the whole planet.

"In order to dispel any rumours, the CDC wants to inform all citizens that the virus at Kingsbury Academy is not something you should worry about as Kingsbury has been put under lockdown. We are working hard to contain the spread of this virus and until we succeed we ask that you stay at home. "

The CDC announced through the television. Thoughts raced through my head as I pondered on what was going to happen next when I was interrupted by Brighton who barged into the room.

He looked deathly pale and sweat dripped down his forehead. Mucus dripped down his nose as he shivered uncontrollably.

"Help me, Kade-". He said before he collapsed on the recently sanitised floor.
