Firefly In The Darkness (ON-GOING)

Prologue

"Para!Wait for me!" I shouted so loud for the taxi to stop I even waved my hand but it seems that I'm really so unfortunate today. Bakit ba kase nila ako iniwan? Didn't they know na ang hirap mag commute? Argh.

My phone is drained I don't even know kung sino ang tatawagan ko mygod life sucks. I went to the bar with my friends last night pero iniwan nila ako after I pass out. What a good friends. Note the sarcasm.

I saw a guy near me so I asked him."Uh, Can I borrow your phone?" He looks nice and approachable that's why. Instead of being nice like what I expected he look at me from head to toe.

"Don't you have one?" He said arrogantly.

"You know what? Nevermind." I even thought that his nice but nah nevermind

Bago pa sya makasagot I immediately march my way to the taxi that is coming and said my address. What a good way to start my day.

When I came home binuksan ko ang ilaw at tumambad sakin ang maayos na condo ko. It felt so lonely though. When I moved out I thought it would be fun but it's the other way around. My loneliness and sadness was interrupted by a loud rang. Oh I forgot I already charged my phone and saw mom calling me. I immediately answered.

"Hello Mom." Pero sa pagkakarinig nya pa lang sa boses ko alam ko na ayaw nya saken. Even though it hurts a lot knowing she doesn't like me but still I love her so much

"Mom? Don't call me that you frick. I don't have a daughter." That was true eversince she never treated me nice but still it hurts a lot.

I'm in the verge of crying but I immediately stop it. Kahit umiyak pa ako di naman na mapapalitan yung trato nya saken. "I'm sorry. Why did you call po?" I answered politely para di na sya lalong magalit.

"I need you to come to the house tomorrow I have someone to introduce to you be beautiful Amara Elyra Veroña even just once. Don't embarrass me please. Also your father will announce something important regarding you." She said straight not giving me a chance to answer and end the call after.

What should I expect? She doesn't treat me like a daughter eversince. I just hope that announcement is good.

After that call I throw myself in the bed it's still early but I felt so drained and tired.

I open my phone and saw a post of him with a woman. A woman is elegantly wearing a silver V shape neck dress ending inches above her knees and her hair is curled with a color of blonde and him smiling happily and seems so inlove with her. I smiled bitterly that man was mine I loved him so much it been years but the pain is still here.

Napangiti ako ng malungkot. Paano sya nakakangiti ng ganyan? Oh I forgot di nga nya pala ako minahal. Pinatay ko ang cellphone ko at inabala ang sarili sa paglilinis at pagaayos ng condo ko. Di ko namalayan pagtapos ko sa aking ginagawa ay mag gagabi na.

I ordered food online and have it delivered to me. As usual I ate alone and doze off to sleep. The next day I am planning on what to wear mom said I should drop by dinner time I still have lots of time so I decided to go to the mall.

After taking a bath dumiretso na ako agad sa parking lot ng building ng condo unit ko because my car is in there. I drove off to the nearest mall and eat my breakfast first. After wandering around the mall it was past noon so I decided to go home and get ready for the dinner. I take a bath again and blow dry my hair and turned it into a high bun and my dress is a heart shaped dress and it's backless in the color of Maroon it is ending inches below my knees also it has a slit ending inches below my butt. After finishing my makeup I drove off to our house.

Pagpasok ko sa bahay sumalubong ang madaming kasambahay at bumati saken. Agad akong nagtaka dahil sa ayos ng bahay it seems like someone important is coming or there's an important event.

"Uh, ate , ano pong meron?"

"Ay naku po ma'am! May importante daw pong anunsyo ang mommy nyo at may paparating daw po na importanteng bisita."

"Ganun po ba? Salamat po." I said politely. Who is it? Someone important? Does they need to be this extravagant? I just shrugged it off.

When I enter the dinning room. Nakit ko ang mga magulang ko na nakaupo na si Daddy ay nakaupo sa kabisera at nasa kaliwa nya si Mommy at nasa kanan is my two older brothers I smiled at them and they smiled at me too. I hurriedly sat down next to my mom.

Pagkatapos ko umupo I just notice that there's someone aside from us and when our eyes met many memories of him and me came rushing by. A lone tear come out from the side of my eye and my heart seems to be ripped into tiny pieces.

"Why...are...you....here?" I asked stuttering my hands are shaking I don't know what to say.

"He is Mr. Zhiriel Charles Villavicencio and he's your fiancee." My dad said.
