FLASHBACK CHAPTER

he captivated me at first sight
he's so pretty
i can't take my eyes off him

THREE YEARS AGO

"mom, you don't have to worry. it's not that far from home," yugyeom said to his mom as they packed the last few of his boxes into the car.

"i know i know, it's just going to be so quiet without you," his mom teased.

"ha ha, you're so funny. besides, you have euigyeom. he makes more noise than me-ow!" yugyeom whined and rubbed his ear.

"i do not!" yugyeom pinched his brother back and his mom scolded the two boys.

"behave you two, and yug you know what i mean. your brother works and well the house will be a little emptier with out you," his mother sniffled.

"i'm just a phone call away, or a few train rides," yugyeom giggled. "also, i'll be back every other week or so. you can't get rid of me that easily,"

"dammit," yugyeom's brother teased and yugyeom shoved him lightly.

"okay okay, is that the last box?" yugyeom looked around and nodded at his mom.

"i'll check the house just in case," yugyeom walked up the steps and into his house.

"hey, dad, are there anymore boxes!" yugyeom called out as he looked around.

"just these two small ones from your room. they were under your bed for some reason," yugyeom's eyes widened and he snatched the two boxes from his dad.

"hahaha yeah weird. don't wanna forget these," yugyeom cleared his throat awkwardly.

yugyeom's dad gave him a confused look and yugyeom felt himself turn red. he cleared his throat before he spoke.

"they're uh old high school things, from my friends," yugyeom lied and his dad nodded and let out an 'ah'.

the two walked back outside to put the last two boxes away before yugyeom and his mom climbed into the truck.

"i'll be back tonight, honey," yugyeom's mom kissed her husband on the cheek.

"we'll go out for dinner," yugyeom's dad said back to his mom.

"hey, what about me?" yugyeom's brother asked.

"you can make something here," his dad teased.

"wow, no love for the oldest. glad to see where i stand," yugyeom's brother dramatized.

"oh shut up, hyung. you're practically spoiled," yugyeom stuck his tongue out.

"that is such a lie. i barely make ends meet! especially in this economy," yugyeom and his parents laughed at euigyeom.

"we gotta head out. bye dad, bye hyung," yugyeom waved to the two as his mom pulled out of the parking spot.
