Arabella's POV: 1 week later at 11:30am
A blank faced figure climbed on top of me, pinning my arms to a rickety old bed. His mouth attacking my neck as I screamed for him to get off.
"GET OFF! GET OFF!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
"ARA!" He screamed in my face.
"No, no, no!" I cried, tears streaming down my cheeks.
"ARABELLA WAKE UP!" I heard a familiar voice screamed.
I ripped my eyes open.
-
Mateo's face was right in front mine as he stared into my eyes as my breathing came out ragged. His faced morphed into one of concern as he saw the tears in my eyes and my shaking body that was covered in a sheen of sweat. I noticed how he was hovered above my body with nothing but his boxers on, his arms either side of me."Are you okay fiore? his accent soothed me as he gently stroked the side of my face with his rough hands.
I nodded, "erm I think so" my voice shook as I quietly whispered these words. I sat up and swung my legs over the edge of the bed so I was sat up as Mateo sat beside me with his hand wrapped firmly around my own.
He lifted his arm up and slid me underneath his arm, snuggling me into the side of his warm body, he wrapped his big arm around me like a safety blanket. I nuzzled my head into his shoulder as he kissed the top of my head, "you are safe with me mi amore, always" he whispered to me with his head bent down so he could see into my eyes.
"I think I am gonna take a shower, I feel gross" I informed him as he had to come with me since I was so frightened to be alone.
"Lets go the fiore, shall we" he stood up from the bed and held his hand out for me, pulling me up from the bed.
When we entered the bathroom, Mateo went to the shower and turned it on, turning the dial to the heat that I like. I lifted my shirt from my body, tugging it over my head as I walked into the shower, Mateo asks me to keep the door to the bathroom open. He liked to keep an eye on me, I asked him why the other day and he said it makes him feel better, that he can always see me.
I thought about what my family must think, while the water and shampoo ran down my back, they must've noticed how close Mateo and I had become, anywhere I am he is too. We have shared the same bed ever since I got home about a week ago. The only time we haven't is when he had some issue in his Mafia and Nicole stayed with me in my bed, I had a nightmare that night. I have noticed that whenever I am either alone, taking a nap or Mateo isn't with me when I fall asleep and when I wake up, I will have a nightmare. This is the first night I have had one when Mateo was there, which made me nervous.
I looked down at my stomach and legs to notice my cuts and bruises had gone, only leaving behind scars that littered my smooth skin. I felt a hand caress my back, which made me jump, I sun round to see Mateo chuckling gently, his shoulders wobbling slightly as he laughed.
"no need to jump fiore, your going to have a heart attack one day" he chuckled out, making me playfully glare at him.
"They have gone Mateo" I told him as a smile crept its way onto my face. I stared up into his eyes as he gazed at me with a confused expression.
"What have gone fiore?" he asked me, curiosity in his tone, a small smile making its way onto his face at seeing my small show of happiness.
"All of my bruises and marks" I said to him gently with my soft smile still present.
He took a small step backwards a his eyes traveled down my body, making me shiver slightly as I watched his eyes slide over the places where the marks used to be with a small, happy smile, "you look amazing il mio piccolo fiore" he mumbled, still looking at my body. "my little flower"
