Escape From Imperial Spacecraft
"You did what you could, Major, abort th- *hshh* si- *hshh* objectives," the radio bud in my ear said. It was still hard to hear through the sudden trembles of the floor, faint noises of explosion and a loud alarm noise. I was about to ask because there was quite a pause between the incoming sentence. I was also distressed that signal is weirding out "You can rendezvou- *hshh* us on the eighth *hshhh* -er *shh* -y. Our assault te- *hshh* -ch *hshh* -inutes, over," I got scared. What eighth? Probably a starship carrier bay, because that's the best spot for an assault team that they may be planning to dispatch. I really hope so. I was panting because I barely escaped my death minutes ago. After being unfortunately slapped off of my Illusion disguise I was identified. Got a bolt graze by my side... now I cannot use Illusion due to continuous pain. Well, it's good this misfortune happened just now when my allies are attacking. "Wilco. Signal two, I repeat signal two. How do you hear me?" I called back in hopes that they hear me. To what I feared I heard a crackling transmission and through the noise I could hear 'Arceus' 'Thank' and 'Out'. I whined, bumping my head to the wall behind. No, they cannot be leaving me behind. I still have to try and meet up with them. I am still useful and do not want to die a second time.
I looked at the wound on my torso. I was wearing black imperial officer's uniform, which I honestly adored, but I still wanted to take it off, knowing that at home I will be able to wear whatever the shinx I want. So I put on my officer's cap and set off to leave this Beedrils' nest. Every time I stepped with my right I would feel pain from the shot, but I was still able to walk like a noble commander, just because this is how I walk from the young age.
Even if I could not use Illusion to make myself look like Lieutenant Rillaboom, I would be still recognized as a high ranking officer, even if recruits never saw a Zoroark officer before. That's why I did not take my blaster pistol on my hip holster. Heart was wildly pounding, especially when I was able to hear their squads rush down the corridors, while I was making my way to the eighth carrier bay.
While walking through one random hall a balanced squad of soldiers entered it too in behind of me. Luckily with a slow glance behind, I saw them run where they needed, not recognising me as an enemy. Staff did not have much time to report about a spy, while they are actively attacked by my allies. They were most probably running to an eighth carrier bay and while I was here, I could still make things easier for my saviours. I stopped, with my paws behind my back and I locked my poker look on them. This made them react to me and I started. "Where are you going, enlists?" I asked with a firm voice. Holding my arms so one would block the view to my wound. "Eighth carrier bay, sire. We've go-" I interrupted them, continuing to walk my way. "More than enough reinforcements arrived. Strengthen the forces on the left wing!" "Yes, sire!" Some of them called, turning around and leaving me, going where they should not go as nothing actually happens there. Although when I glanced behind I saw one Lickylicky soldier not keep up when she looked at me with uncertainty. She might have suspected me, but I did not risk and kill her, when I passed a corner and vanished out of sight.
This ship was a commander dreadnaught and there was almost a kilometre left to where I should be. First half of the way was uneventful, until I heard the too familiar rolling noise... They have sent the drones to kill me. If I run or walk it will not be much a difference to my image, so I ran to get out of them as fast as I could, even dropping down to all fours for a dash.
As I ran, I could hear them somehow follow the right way and close the distance with me, though they still have not made a contact of sight with me. There was another running squad in front of me when I barked. "Enlists!" They stopped with a delay, when they saw me, and did not salute, as I did not look so scary while running. "Yes, sire!" They called and once I was close I stood on two so I would be eye to eye with their armoured Quagsire. "The spy has hacked the attack drones! Take them down and be careful!" I pulled out a pistol from my holster, before them. My urgent look didn't make them worry about my action. Now I hold the blaster, and nobody feels wrong about that. "I will go hunt down the spy!" I called and continued to run. "Roger!" They called and left me be, taking their positions. I didn't run twenty metres when I heard the shots pew behind me. Good job, Major Flex. Good job, me.
A few corners left to pass when I would appear on the bridge of eighth carrier bay, when I saw two pokemon armoured in black. Ship's Elite Guards. Two Orbettles, and I saw their looks upon seeing me running with a gun. They were blocking my path, probably sent to guard me from leaving. I stopped. And then they realised that I am definitely a spy. A tension of realisation formed between me and their masked eyes. I gripped my pistol in two, taking aim and they were taking aim too, with much more powerful two-handed blasters. I am fried. I was first to shoot and simultaneously I started jogging forwards, but a split-second later, fire was exchanged and one bolt screeched past my ear, a wave of heat passing, but it was not as bad as that eardrum ripping noise that deafened me partially. My own shot hit second of them, but it was too late. Their second bolt however hit me and before I fell unconscious, I could realise that they fired in stun mode. My body locked up, a tremendous pain going through my entire body and I fall down. My blaster dropped on the ground with a hard metallic ring. Muscles still convulse painfully and a second later... world lights out...
