Ben's pov After the screen went blank, the lights came back on and Ashley appeared in a cloud of yellow smoke. "I thought it would be more convenient than the bright light." Ashley commented. Normally, me being my cheery self would have chuckled or at least smiled at her words, but I just wasn't in the mood. I kept a secret from mal and she is going to hate me for it afterwards. Ashley saw the look on my face and walked up to me. She put a reassuring hand on my shoulder and told me it would be alright but knowing the truth, I don't think it would. Ashley asked us to settle down , our parents sat down on the chairs while all the teenagers sat down on the floor. Ashley sat down in the middle of all of us. My siblings(Nikki included) and I all sat down at her left and the others at her right. Mal was confused at the arrangement but I just gave her a sad smile and a nod. Then Ashley started the whole story. Long, long ago, well more like 17 years ago. Ben was a curious little 4 year old boy. He was walking in the forest with his brother and sister , but something felt wrong. He felt magic radiating from a particular tree. He went to check it out on his own in order not to endanger his siblings. You would think 'how thoughtful' right ? Wrong. When Ben got there he saw a shadow walking towards him, he tried running away but he couldn't. He was scared out of his mind. Sorry scratch that, He was petrified! The figure walked close to Ben and and it shot multiple balls of green magic at him and it hurt him a lot , but he couldn't even manage a squeak out of his lips. When the figure was done , Ben was close to fainting. But before he could the figure said." If you tell anyone about this you will be sorry." Ben didn't want to even imagine what would happen if he told anyone about. After a couple of minutes Ben couldn't take it anymore so he fainted. When he woke up to find himself in his bedroom with worried eyes looking at him, he almost forgot about everything. Key word ALMOST, once his mother had asked him what happened to him, he immediately remembered everything that happened that evening and the threat that the shadow had told him and even though he was just 4 years old, he didn't want tfo put his family in danger ,so he told no one about , what Ben didn't know was that another girl was watching this unfold. "And that girl is my elder sister Alisha" Ashley completed. I had just relived the part of my life that I wanted to forget and the worst part is the only people who still cared about me at this point were my family. Everyone including Mal looked at me with rage and disgust. "Ben! How could you keep something this big from me ?!" Mal screamed at me. At this point, tears were streaming down my face. "Mal..." I went to hold her hand but Jay pushed me backwards. Once he pushed me Bryan lunged at him and tackled him to the ground. Now, Jay is very strong but when it came to family matters no one was as strong as either Bryan or me from causing harm to the idiot that tried to hurt our family. Mal, Evie and Carlos thought that they could help Jay but Bryan just pushed all of them to the wall. I was already too mad to even help any of them up. Whenever mal keeps secrets from me I understand that it's probably for the best but when I keep this one secret from her she gets mad. Just as Bryan was I about to punch Jay. Nikki screamed "STOP!!" She ran over to me and held my hand . Whenever she is mad like this, it means this whole place would soon go ablaze. She then started her speech while shooting fire everywhere. " Ben kept a big secret from all of us to keep us safe from that monster and what do you do? Do you thank him? No , you scream and shout and show him hatred. Whenever anyone keeps a secret from him, he understands it's for a reason but when he keeps one of the most important secrets ever from you, you just scream and shout at him. " " why is it that when I made lunch for him with magic , he got mad at me for keeping my secret for trying to fit in ?" Mal asked angrily. " In case you didn't know miss 'i know all about magic 'if someone eats something made with magic they could die within a few seconds. In case you didn't know, after you gave him that magically made lunch, he fell terribly ill. If not for the amount of magic he has in his body he would have died because of you." Nikki screamed. Everyone's look of rage and disgust turned into apologetic looks while Mal looked stunned. "I-I c-could have k-k-killed him?" Mal stuttered. "No you could have made him live a happily ever after, of course you would have killed him you idiot" Nikki snapped back. " Ben I am so..." Mal was walking towards me but I took a step back and Brittany walked in front of me. "Don't you dare go anywhere close to my brother, I don't want to see any of you close to him. He helped you guys when any of you needed it , but how do you pay him ?huh? And you Mal, he saw good in you when no one didn't., and this is how you thank him."Brittany screamed at all of them. Mal looked at me ,but I just looked away, fresh tears rolling down my cheek. I picked up Nikki and put her on my hip and turned around to talk to Bryan. "Let's get to a new theatre" Ashley said. She transported us to a new theatre but this time , Brittany dragged me, Bryan and Nikki to the other side of the theatre away from the others and she put a dome over us so no one could come sit anywhere near us. They all looked at us pleadingly with tears in their eyes and the sat around the dome but I didn't look at any of them and neither did the rest. I was still so hurt by the way they acted towards me. "Maybe I am not meant to have a happily ever after ".I thought. We sat in that position and continued the movie.
