4. SPEAK YOUR HEART OUT

Ram felt helpless, he didn't know how to help. Hell, he didn't even know if Priya needed help. She acted strong but he could read her eyes, he could read the fears.

He had heard her call the guy "Rajat". He was the same guy Priya had mentioned during their dinner and by the look of it, he knew Neha didn't like him. If Neha, her best friend didn't like the guy, couldn't trust that guy, how could he.

He got inside his vehicle but couldn't start the car, he couldn't leave her behind. It had just been two days since they met but he felt a strong connection, call it cliché but it felt like he was in love with her already. As he continued with his thoughts, he saw a familiar figure making his way out of the gate. "Was Priya alright?" that the was first thought that crossed his mind.

Without thinking about anything, he got out of the vehicle and made his way towards her apartment.

Priya was still seated at the corner, thinking about everything that happened, as much as she hated breaking off with Rajat, she knew it was the best thing, for her. She did not feel anything for Rajat, hell, she now realized that she was only with him because she wanted somebody to want her, she wanted a human touch. And then there was Ram, he was the most genuine guy she had known. His genuineness and kindness reflected in his eyes. She saw how desperately he wanted to help her but he was gentleman enough to realize it was a personal matter and should not interfere. 

Just then a knock on her front door brought her back to reality.

She marched towards the door, feeling her anger coming back "I told you to leave Ra--"she stopped when she saw Ram standing in front of her and not Rajat.

"Ram. You- you didn't leave?" she asked. She felt her tears making its way back, making her eyes burn. Instead of a normal greeting, he rushed towards her and hugged her, took her in his embrace. Priya did not hesitate either, she laid her head on his chest and held him tight.

"I was scared. I was so scared" he said. They broke the hug and he held her shoulders "I am sorry Priya, I didn't know what to do, I shouldn't have left you."

She wiped her tears and smiled at him softly "It's not your fault Ram, and I was the one who told you to leave". He kept rubbing her arm "But I didn't know what to do" he said "I have never felt so helpless in my life"

She pulled him towards the couch and made him sit "See Ram. There was nothing you could have done. This entirely depended on me and Rajat and I am glad you didn't interfere else this wouldn't have ended in a good way" she said wiping her tears.

"Priya. I know this is not the right time to say, but I feel a strong connection here. It's just been two days since I met you but I feel deeply for you" he held her hand "I know- I know it's not the right time and I should be consulting you but I didn't want to keep this within myself. I felt scared when he took you inside the apartment and I was left standing there watching him do that."

She placed her hands on his and smiled brightly. She didn't know what to say, what to reply to this confession. She had just broken up her relationship with Rajat and thought Ram was very genuine, she didn't want to rush.

"You are very kind" She blushed saying this "but I just broke up with Rajat and I need time. I don't want to ruin what we have by rushing into things"

"I know. I am not asking you to leave everything behind, you don't have to answer me now okay" he could finally breathe in peace, she was in front of him and she was unharmed and she looked genuinely happy.

When he opened his eyes, it was already 1 am. He didn't realise when they had fallen asleep, Priya was asleep beside him, her head on his shoulders. He didn't know what to do, will it be appropriate if he stayed here without waking her up or should he leave. Pihu was also at home, but Bansi Kaka was there and he trusted him. He scrolled his contacts and dialled home, informing kaka about his whereabouts. He softly spoke not wanting to wake Priya up, he knew Pihu needed him but Priya was also alone.
