Chapter 19: Spirited Away

The somber instrumental exploit my sentiments the keys of the piano grew harsh and dissonant. It's mystifying melody conflicted my comprehension as it clashed for harmony. Young children chanted an exotic chorus overwhelming the musics tension. I was impelled to unite and vocalize among the disorderly ensemble. As I clasped children's hands the vision waned leaving me to wake.

After dressing I left the room only to encounter, Reiji Sakamaki the second eldest brother.

"Have you perhaps seen Ayato anywhere?" He asked.

The last time I had seen him was when he had carried me back to my room.

"Not since last night." I replied.

"Well, if you do happen to see him tell him he'll be late if he doesn't hurry." Reiji warned sternly.

"I...I will...." I stuttered shifting my gaze.

Reiji walked away leaving the rest of the conversation hanging in the air.

Where could he be?

I checked everyplace I could think of and still came up empty. Before I could walk away from his room I found a small white note.

Dear bitch,
I have reclaimed my precious lover. He shouldn't have to deal with filthy human scum like yourself. He is mine, I will not let anybody else have him.

Oh this was just great!

How foolish of me to think that she would just simply disappear without putting up a fight.

Now what? How in the world was I going to find him now that he had been forcefully spirited away by that devilish fiend? The answer was simple, I would work my fingers raw until I found his exact location. It was weeks before I had a solid lead. This time I wouldn't let Alice off easy.

I scoured an old abandoned mansion that stood fifteen miles away from the Sakamaki household. I found Ayato tied up to a bedpost on the upper levels of the mansion.

"Ayato! Are you alright? " I asked rushing to side.

His face has been warped into a scowl, his wrists bloodied from the exertion he had applied upon the iron restraints.

"Damn, don't stare....quickly release me." He snapped.

I did as he told me finding the silver key that opened the handcuffs. I stared at him as he rubbed his sore wrists.

"What why are you looking at me like that?"

"Umm...I...I was." I said softly.

"Oi! Speak up." He growled.

"I was scared that you were hurt." I replied.

"What, would you like a kiss? I did scare you, right, so let me kiss you." He said leaning closer so that I could feel his heated breath on my lips.

He placed his velvet lips against mine capturing my tongue with insatiable passion.

"You...you vile thing...let him go." Alice shrieked pulling me by my hair.

"Bitch! How dare you put your hands on what belongs to me." Ayato bellowed.

I had never seen him move so quickly before. He took Alice's head in his hands twisting it with the sudden jerk. Her carcass slumped to the ground motionless and stiff.

"It's okay. Yui, I couldn't allow her to torment you any longer."

"Ayato...I'm sorry." I sobbed.

He embraced me pulling me into his broad chest.

"I can't endured it any longer. The thirst it's unbearable." Ayato griped.

His fangs grazed my neckfinding a place to them burrow comfortably into my flesh. He drained me of both my energy and vital fluid, making me weak.

"No...stop...it hurts." I cried out.

"My throat still dry. Put up with it." He gasped pulling his teeth away from my skin.

But before he could penetrate once more a silver knife plunged into my back. Alice, who was scarcely alive enacted her revenge.

"YOU!"  He roared.

Infuriated he quickly took care of the wicked wrench.

"YUI! CAN YOU HEAR ME?" He yelled holding me tightly.

I was losing blood quickly. It was only a matter time before I would bleed out completely.

"Ayato...I...I...love you." I choked out.

If I was going to die I might as well tell him how I felt.

"You! Idiot. You can't leave me!" Because your blood and your body belong to me." He yelled desperately.

"YUI!" He shouted as I lost consciousness.....

If this was the end I was glad I gave my life in his loving embrace.
