I stopped next to a rugged old looking tree and just stared at the wolf. Elliot was a few feet in front of me and he was paralyzed. If you looked close enough you could see him shaking.

“Shayla? I t-think w-we s-should g-go.” Elliot stuttered out. Poor baby. Whenever Elliot gets scared he stutters. He used to stutter all the time when he was younger but he learned how to control it and now it only comes out when he is scared.

“Ya Elliot I think that’s a good idea,” I whispered back at him. I saw him visibly relax. He turned around and ran for it. I thought that the wolf, that was possibly Aston, was going to chase after him but it just stared at me, “Aston,” I asked “,is that you?” the wolf cocked its head to the side and gave me a wolfy grin. Then it turned around and trotted back into the forest.

“Hey Shayla can we go home I think I shat my pants.” I heard Elliot whine at me from outside the woods.

I laughed, “Okay, Okay I’m coming bro,” I turned around and jogged to him, “Did you seriously shat your pants? Actually don’t answer that question.” Elliot stuck his tongue out at me and then flip me off. I rolled my eyes and then started to jog quickly home.

“Hey Shayla are you gonna wait for me? You’re my protection. You can’t leave me.” I heard him yell while he was trying to catch up with me. Oh well he is slow anyway. Though I kinda feel bad leaving him there even though he has left so many times at my Show jumping lesson and at swim practice. Bleh him. I started sprinting when I heard his footsteps getting closer.

I saw the house up ahead and my sister sitting in the front with a dude. Yes, I get to scare and interrogate a guy now. My day just keeps getting better.

When I got up to the house I saw that my guy was no other than Rowan. God damnit. I can’t interrogate him. Oh well.

“Hello dear sister Jessica.” I said as I walk passed them into the house that is now smelling like chocolate chip cookies. Thank you Jessica.

“Well hello to you too Shayla. It is good to see you again.” Rowan sarcastically said.

“Oh hello Rowan sorry didn’t see you there. And I can’t say the same thing about you.” I said and gave one of my winning smiles then ran inside. I grabbed five cookies before Elliot could get to them then I went upstairs to my room. My room is actually the attic and no I don’t live in the attic because my family hates me. I have my room in the attic because it is surprisingly bigger than the actual rooms and it was where my mother and I hung out every weekend.

I grabbed some underwear, a black tank top and some jean shorts then went downstairs to my bathroom. I shaved and washed my hair with my favorite shampoo from Costco.

After I finished I changed into my clothes, and put my wet hair into a bun. I then went back up stairs and got my guitar and pulled out some sheet music I have been working to learn.
