Ch. 4
Asher, Elise, and Thorne were still by the waterfall but they had already dried off.
"So, Aqua, I've been meaning to ask you, if you're part of the Water Pride, then why do you have red eyes?" Asher scowled and rolled his eyes, remembering all the harsh things that cats have said to him.
"I'm an albino." he admitted bitterly,
"Oh!" Thorne exclaimed, "So what's it like being in the Water Pride?" Asher looked down,
"Well, it's uh, it's watery?" Elise laughed,
"Well of course it is, silly! What we mean by 'how's it like' we mean, are the trades good, are people nice to you? And just stuff like that!"
Asher couldn't bear it anymore, it was overwhelming him,
"I'M NOT A WATER CAT!" he admitted, both Thorne and Elise looked at him like he had no head.
"Then what are you?" Elise asked him,
"I'm-I'm a Fire Cat..." Asher admitted again, Elise didn't know what to say,
"I left the Fire Pride because everyone hated me, but then again, now that I've told you this, you're going to hate me, then you're gonna tell your mother then the word is gonna spread around all the Prides and then I'll just have to end up killing myself!" Asher started to sob softly, Elise was near tears, and Thorne, well he had no idea of what to do.
"Aqua!" Elise said through her sniffles and tears,
"Actually my real name is Asher..." Asher said, tears rolling down his cheeks, Elise let out a breath of laughter when he said that,
"Asher, ever since I met you, there was just, someone about you, that I couldn't resist-"
"Get to the point!" Thorne interrupted with a mouth full of popcorn(who knows where he got it)
"Asher, I love you..." Elise admitted, bringing her nose up to Asher's.
Just as their noses were about to touch, Asher furrowed his brows and resisted,
"We're both from different Prides! Don't you understand? We could never be together! You know what fire and rock make?" He asked her,
"Ooh, things are getting hot!" Thorne said, and he was somehow wearing some 3d-glasses,
"Can it Thorne!" Asher and Elise both said in unison, Thorne backed off.
"Fire and rock make nothing!" Asher exclaimed, he was mad, but not at Elise, he was just mad that they couldn't be together, but that didn't stop him from taking it out on her.
"Are you saying, that you don't have feelings for me the same way I do..." Elise asked quietly, she didn't have any more tears in her eyes
"It's not that I don't have feelings for you, I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart-" his heartwarming speech was soon interrupted by the sound of Thorne blowing his nose.
"That was beautiful!" Thorne said through tears,
"Not yet it is!" Asher exclaimed, he then jumped on top of Elise and kissed her, at first she was surprised, but then she kissed back.
"Haha! I've always wanted to be the third-wheel!" Thorne exclaimed in delight,
"Oh no..." Asher muttered as he got off of Elise and playfully attacked Thorne.
"So, are you guys like, dating now?" Thorne asked as Asher finished giving him a noogie,
"I guess we are," Elise started, "but what are we going to tell my mom?"
"Simple, don't tell her anything," Thorne said, "when I said I wanted to be the third-wheel I meant for longer than ten minutes." Elise rolled her eyes and chuckled a slight bit.
"I think I'll tell her tonight..."
