The kingdom was so peaceful and happy before the rain stopped coming everywhere but the capital. When the Dance Powder was first discovered some people had their suspicions. Then some was found at the palace and a great deal of the people had felt a great betrayal from their king. I couldn't believe it. The stuff was outlawed years ago. A single tear falls down as I yelled out in anger. My father would never betray his people or country like that. He wasn't that kind of man.

It took a bit of digging but I found out (from a mysterious purple eyed woman) that a group calling themselves Baroque Works had something to do with the appearance of Dance Powder here. That even majority of the members had no clue who was in charge. Only that it was a man that called himself Mr. 0. She told me that I could go under her recommendation since she had connections.

I still didn't know what their plans were or who Mr. 0 was, but my goal was to find out. Whatever the plan was though I needed to find out and stop it. Failure isn't an option.

As I get ready to go with Carue late at night just as the guards would be making their rounds elsewhere I start my escape in some of my plain clothes from the market. While I was hiding my hair for now (so it's harder to recognize me) Igaram came to check on me.

"Miss. Vivi I heard some noise. I'm going to come in to make sure you're alright." Igaram said politely but with a bit of concern before coming in. "Your highness where are you going at this hour? Please don't say it's after the people behind the Dance Powder on your own. You're far to young to be doing this on your own. Even with Carue."

I bit my lip and looked at the floor in shame. I didn't want to worry anyone else. It was my duty to clear my father's name and help this country how I could. But I'd just been caught in the act of trying to sneak out. "Igaram... I..." I started to say.

"That's why I am coming with you." He said. "You were right to involve as few people as possible but if you were to be discovered that would be a great tragedy. I shall accompany you to ensure your safety. We'll be on our way as shortly. I just have to get a few things." He starts to leave then turns back. "I'm not going to mention this to your father at all."

I was at a loss for words. His loyalty to me just keeps surprising me. Whether it's because I'm his princess or out of friendship he's doing it for sure out of the kindness of his heart. When Igaram returned not that long afterwards we headed out to meet up with the purple eyed woman that brought me the information earlier. We met up near the edge of the desert in an alleyway.

"I see you brought a friend." The woman said appearing as if out of thin air.

"Is this really the woman really the one that gave you the information?" Igaram said quietly to me. "She looks like she could slit our throats at any second."

"It's pretty clear you fear what I might do to you and the princess. Believe me that couldn't be farther from the truth." She said calmly. "I've seen something like this happen before with another country. I just don't want to see it again. Once I get you in with my contacts this will be the last time you hear from me I have my own problems to deal with. The young lady told me she had made up her mind. It might take a few years to get any worthwhile information but it's up to you. So i will ask this once do you want to go into the criminal organization to try to stop this from the inside or not?"

I bite my lip for a second before a felt a burst of courage and said, "I have to be the one to do this. My father is a good man and he does so much already. This incident caused him to lose faith in himself and makes him sad. If there's anyway I can help him I will."

"Your highness..." Igaram said with a shocked look on his face before starting to smile. "I'm going to stay by her side then and make sure she stays safe no matter the cost."

"Well then, this can work but it's going to be difficult to get you stationed somewhere together without being found out. It'll be harder to get your duck in too, but I still might be able to pull it off." She said with a grin. "Here's how it has to be."

Some time later...
"Here's where you'll be stationed for the next chunk of your life as a member of Baroque Works. You ready?" The woman asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I replied little fear in my voice.

"It should be more than enough." She said as she walked away. "Good luck Miss. Wednesday."

Some time later after farewells are said to the Strawhats...
No matter what their friendship means the world to me and the people of this country. Thanks to them there are fewer scars on this country then there could have been. Without their help I don't know if I could've saved what I cherish most. I hope that woman is doing well where ever she may be.
