It All Started With Their Zanpakuto

The substitute soul reaper has been going to every squad asking the same question again and again. "Have any of you guys seen my zanpakuto, Zangetsu?" Ichigo said to Ukitake sounding a bit desperate. "Sorry Ichigo, no one has seen Zangetsu yet" Ukitake said apologetically, but before Ichigo left Rukia went in looking frantic. "Oh um sorry Ukitake taicho for barging in" Rukia said looking more panicked. "What's wrong Rukia?" Ichigo said. "Sode No Shirayuki is well kind of missing. Have you seen her?"  Rukia asked more relaxed now. "Hm, that's kinda strange, my zanpakuto Zangetsu is also missing since this morning" Ichigo said then he sighed and said "Hey Rukia wanna go and look for our zanpakutos?" Ichigo said already walking out to flash step somewhere that he thinks that Zangetsu might be. "Yeah sure, I hope you don't mind at all Ukitake" "No no it's fine. So you two go on now" Ukitake said. As Ichigo and Rukia walked outside to find their zanpakutos. Ukitake suddenly remembered how he saw Zangetsu earlier walking furiously past his division saying "He better not lay a finger on my sister" while Sode No Shirayuki was following him closely and said "It's your fault on why she doesn't talk to you about their relationship. Also remember when you walked in on their make out session and nearly killed him" she said looking at him accusingly. Ukitake actually wondered if he wanted to know what's happening, but for his survival he stayed quite.

As Ichigo and Rukia went to the 10th division they bumped into Karin deep in thought and looking quite traumatized. "Hey sis, what are you doing here?" Ichigo asked. "Zanpakuto missing, don't go inside" were the only thing Karin managed to say. "Wait! Your zanpakuto is also missing. Hah same with us, have you seen them" Ichigo said walking in. "Wait! Don't go... inside" Karin said but it was too late, in front of a nearly human popsicle Ichigo lies Toshiro Hitsugaya who has already frozen his office but miraculously the brush, ink and paper survived the freezing temperature. "What happened here?!" Ichigo managed to say through chattering teeth. "Hyorinmaru" Hitsugaya said darkly. Karin sighed and said "His zanpakuto apparently has also been missing" Ichigo then looked to his sister quite shocked that out of all the possibilities all four of them had their zanpakutos went missing. "Hey Toshiro" Ichigo said who was now outside the taicho's office to not freeze to death. "One, that's Hitsugaya Taicho to you and what" Hitsugaya said clearly frustrated about the situation. "Let's have a deal, I'll call you Hitsugaya as long as you help us find all of our zanpakutos. What do you say Hitsugaya" Ichigo said knowing that the boy has too much pride and give in to the deal. Hitsugaya thought about it for a while and said "Fine" and with that he stood up and went to the doorway where the trio were standing.

They searched everywhere for their zanpakutos but after all their effort they still don't know where their zanpakutos are. By now it was near midnight when they felt their zanpakutos reiatsu. They went to the place and noticed that it was in the middle of the forest. So they hid behind a few trees.

"Look isn't that Hyorinmaru?" Karin said quietly. "Hm" Hitsugaya said, he must admit he himself was wondering why Hyorinmaru left and where was he all this time. "Shhh be quiet" Rukia said. As they look back they saw a cloaked person walk behind the person with long teal hair. "This place is perfect" the cloaked girl said stopping in front of Hyorinmaru. All of them were waiting to know who the owner of this mysterious zanpakuto when they heard Karin say "What the Hueco Mundo is Kagetsu doing here" which came out as a slight growl loud enough for her companions to hear but not loud enough to let the zanpakutos hear. As they watch the two talk Hyorinmaru then walked closer to Kagetsu and pulled the cloak away from the person revealing a girl with midnight dark hair that reaches around her waist and a white flower that stays behind her ear. She also had a beautiful white dress that sparkled in the moon light. "Wow, I didn't know your zanpakuto was this beautiful" Hitsugaya said looking flabbergasted. The group suddenly saw the two zanpakutos getting closer to kiss was interrupted by a cough. Karin and Hitsugaya who was blushing red so much it would put Renji's hair to shame turned to the intruder along with the others. "Zangetsu?!" Ichigo nearly screamed but thankfully Rukia was there to shut him up by covering his mouth with her fists. "You won't dare touch my baby sister" Zangetsu said with a low snarl. "Wow Ichigo, Zangetsu's really is your zanpakuto" Rukia exclaimed acting like the whole world doesn't know it when...

"Puh-lease Zangetsu, don't pretend that every time you disappear you don't make out with Sode No Shirayuki" Kagetsu said angrily. Now its Ichigo and Rukia's turn to blush a very deep shade of red. "I told you she won't like it, and I told you you need to leave her alone for once" Sode No Shirayuki said with a sigh, who happen to appear behind Zangetsu. Before even the soul reapers or even a zanpakuto say a word a loud Siren like sound was heard. Ukitake and Shunsui appeared holding a camera saying "Is it true that you guys are in a romantic relationship?" asked enthusiastically. The zanpakutos blushed a bit and said in unison an unmistakable "Yes" Shunsui erupted with a wide smile but before he could say anything else the four shinigamis burst out from behind the few trees and bushes before saying that they don't have romantic feeling for each other Shunsui interrupted them. "Every soul reaper no matter what the rank is listen carefully. The zanpakutos is the manifestation of what you feel. That means that if you love someone, your zanpakuto loves them as well" he said to the camera before continuing "And that's all for today people of the Seireitei, until next time." "Wait that's live?!" The 'guests' said, well more of exclaimed it. Shunsui then ran away with Ukitake trailing not to far behind.
"So... What do we do now?" Karin asked rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "I guess we start being boyfriend, girlfriend" Ichigo said copying Karin's actions earlier, "I-if you want to, Rukia"  Ichigo said nervously. "Sure, why not" Rukia said as both of them went away in the moonlight, leaving Karin and Hitsugaya alone. "So um Toshiro" Karin said being more nervous than her brother said. "Let's be official then" Hitsugaya said out of the blue before glancing at Karin showing a small smile, "Would you like to be my girlfriend?" he asked and with that Karin smiled widely and said "Yes." All the four shinigamis were so happy that they didn't realise that their zanpakutos went missing somewhere in Seireitei, Again.
