Esme's pov

I love my husband and our family. Before we moved to Forks I haven't had a real friend in a very long time. Other then my family I have always stayed to myself our whole family has. A week after we moved to Forks Renee comes to welcome us to Forks. From that day on Renee was my best friend we did everything together. We seen each other almost everyday but we still talked every morning and night on the phone. We talked about everything and anything. Renee was such a good hearted person. My daughter Rosalie cared about Renee and she likes no one out side of our family but with Renee you had to love her. My whole family loved her. Edward my son can read minds and he loved the way Renee thought. He told me she never thought anything bad about us. She loved us as much as we loved her. I will miss her everyday for as long as I live.

Losing Renee has been hard on me but I try to hide it as much as I can. We have been taking care of Charlie and Isabella for over a month. I enjoy cooking and cleaning. I also love taking care of Isabella. I love my talks with Charlie. Charlie and Carlisle have been great friends. When Renee was pregnant with Isabella and Charlie found out he had cancer we helped Renee take care of Charlie. After me and Renee got close so did Carlisle and Charlie. I know it will be hard for my husband after Charlie passes away. Carlisle is a great doctor and I know he did everything he could to help both Renee and Carlisle.

Charlie trys to spend a lot of time with Isabella but he gets so tired all the time now. Carlisle gives him medication to help with the pain but that only makes him sleep more. He is always writing Isabella letters. His lawyer is over at the house now. I took Isabella with me to get some food shopping done. Edward and the rest of the kids are out and Carlisle is at work. His lawyer told me he would be at the house for a couple hours so I been doing some running around with Isabella. I like taking her out to get fresh air. She seems to like being out with me.

After shopping and doing some running around I went back to Charlie's house. His lawyer was already to leave when we got there. "Hello Esme how are you doing today" Mr. Comings asked me. "I'm very well how are you" I asked. "I'm doing good. I will let myself out. I will be coming back tomorrow to drop off some paperwork" Mr.Comings said. "Have a good night" I said. "You do the same" he said walking out the house. I laid Isabella in her crib and went to the kitchen to put away the food and start dinner for Charlie.

I heard Isabella start to cry. I put the chicken in the oven and walked up the steps to her room. Charlie was walking into the baby's room very slow. "Hi Esme I didn't know you were back to I heard the baby crying" Charlie said. "You were sleeping when we got back. How about I bring Isabella to you" I said. "Thank you" he said. "No need to thank me" I said. I walked into Isabella's room. I changed her diaper and carried her into Charlie's room. Charlie was sitting up in his bed watching tv. He smiled when we walked in the room. "Hello beautiful" Charlie said after I put the baby in his arms. "I will go make her a bottle" I said. "Okay" he said and laid back in bed with Isabella. I walked down to the kitchen and made Isabella a bottle.

Carlisle walked in the house. "Hello darling" Carlisle said walking into the kitchen. "Hi dear how was your day" I asked. "It was fine. How was your day" he asked wrapping his arms around me. "It was fine. I took Isabella with me when I went shopping. Mr.Comings was here with Charlie" I said and turned around to face him. He kissed me softly on the lips. "I missed you" he said and kissed me again. "I missed you too" I said kissing him. We both heard Isabella cry. He broke our kiss and picked up the bottle. "I will go and check on Charlie and see Isabella I missed her too" he said. I smiled and he walked away.

The kids came in a couple hours later. I was just finishing Charlie's dinner. Edward came in the kitchen and sat at the table. "Esme are you okay" Edward asked. Edward has a special place in my heart. His sisters and brothers says he is my favorite. I wouldn't say he is my favorite but I am close with him. When I was human I was married to a very bad guy. I got pregnant with a son but he died right after he was born. I tried to kill myself by jumping off a cliff. When they took me to the hospital they took me right to the morgue. I was still alive Carlisle heard my heartbeat and he took me and changed me into a vampire. Back then it was just Carlisle and Edward. I got very close to Edward. I have always loved him like my son. I think Edward helped me live with the lost of my son. Edward became my son and for a while it was just the 3 of us. Sometimes I think Edward would still be able to understand me even if he couldn't read my mind. "I'm fine honey" I said. "I know that's not true" he said. "I just really miss Renee and it's hard seeing Charlie like this" I said. "You don't have to try so hard to hide it from us" he said "I know that honey" I said. He stood up and walked over and hugged me. "I love you" he said kissing my cheek. "I love you too" I said." I will take Charlie's food up to him" Edward said. "Thank you honey" I said giving him the tray. He walked out the kitchen and up to Charlie's room.

I cleaned up the kitchen. Edward is right I'm not okay. I hate watching Charlie die right after losing Renee. I hate that they are both leaving Isabella without her parents. She is just a baby and she will not remember them when she gets older. I would do anything to make sure Isabella has a good and happy life. It's going to be hard leaving Isabella. I love her very much. I think it will be hard on my whole family. We all love her.

After I was done cleaning up the kitchen. I walked up to Charlie's room to check on him and Isabella. I knocked on the door then walked in. Carlisle and Edward were watching a football game. Isabella was in Charlie's arms." Thank you for dinner it was great" Charlie said. "I'm glade you liked it" I said. "How are you feeling" I asked. "I'm sleepy and in some pain but I'm fine" he said. "Do you want me to take Isabella it's almost time for me to put her down for the night" I said. "Yes you can take her" he said. I walked over and took Isabella from him. "Esme told me Mr.Comings was here earlier" Carlisle said. "Yes he came over and helped me get everything in line for Isabella" Charlie said. I walked out the room with Isabella.

I put Isabella in her crib when I got her crib and walked over to get her pajamas. When I walked back to Isabella's crib Alice was taking Isabella's clothes off. "How are you holding up" Alice asked. "I'm okay" I said. "Edward is going to asked for a family meeting tonight" Alice said. "Why does he want a family meeting" I asked. "I'm not sure" she said. "I'm going to put Isabella to sleep" I said taking Isabella from her. Alice stood at the door while I dressed Isabella for bed "Esme I know that you think of us as your children and we all love you as our mother. Your the best Mom any of us could ask for but you can let us help you sometimes too. You will still be the strongest woman we know" Alice said. I couldn't help it I just started sobbing. "This hurts so much. I miss Renee and I hate seeing Charlie in pain and soon I will have to say by to him and Isabella. I don't think I can Alice" I sobbed. Alice ran over to me and hugged me. I sobbed as she held me. Rosalie and Carlisle came running in the room. Rosalie ran to my side and hugged me with her sister. "Darling please go take a walk with your daughters. I will put the baby to sleep. Go take a little break and go hunting. Whenever you get back Edward wants to have a family meeting but take your time" Carlisle said sounding worried about me. "Thank you dear" I said. The girls got up from the floor with me. Carlisle kissed my lips quickly. "I love you" Carlisle said. "I love you too and I'm sorry" I said. "Don't be dear you have done nothing wrong" he said walking over to the crib.

Me and the girls walked out the back door and took off running. We found a family of Elks. We ran from behind the tresses and broke all their necks. I sank my teeth down in the neck of the elk and let it's warm blood enter my mouth. When we were done feeding from the elk we buried their bodies in the woods. Then started to walk back to Charlie's house slow. "I didn't mean to break down like that. It's just a lot going on" I said. "It's okay Esme we understand how hard losing Renee was on you. Your entitled to have a emotional breakdown" Rose said. "Thank you both for coming out with me but let's get back. Edward wants to have a family meeting" I said. "Are you sure your ready we have not been gone long" Alice said. "Yes honey I'm fine" I said. We all started to run at vampire speed back to Charlie's house to have our family meeting.
