Hermiones Pov

I took a seat on Ron's empty bed. On the verge of tears while waiting for Harry to get Mrs. Weasley. I knew one day this would happen, I was to late to help him! If I just got him help earlier he wouldn't have ran away! I should've told someone about Ron's depression. I should've told one of his siblings or his parents, they would've done something to help. I did nothing however, I feel like I've failed as a best friend. A tear soon dropped on the wood floor, then another and another. Until I was crying my eyes out.

Harry's Pov

I walked back into Ron's bedroom with basically everyone who is living in this place. So basically Mr. And Mrs. Weasley, George, Percy, and Ginny. I saw Hermione sobbing on Ron's bed. I immediately ran over to her and gave her a big hug. I soon started sobbing with her. Everyone sat there in silence waiting for someone to say something.

"Shouldn't we read the diary? I mean, it's the only thing he left here, it could give us information on where he went!" Ginny exclaimed, her eyes red and puffy. She must've been crying too.

"Ginny, we can't. The diary contains Ron's personal life, stuff that he hasn't told us yet." Percy argued, Ginny just rolled her eyes.

"I agree with G-Ginny." Hermione stuttered, everyone except Percy nodded in agreement.

"You guys can't be serious, there could be stuff in there that he doesn't want us to know! We're invading his personal life!" Percy said harshly.

"Chill out, we'll only read a few pages if it bothers you so much." George mumbled, rubbing his eyes tiredly. Percy just crossed his arms.

"Alright, now that's settled, who will read the first page?" I asked, looking around the room for any volunteers.

"I w-will." Hermione sniffled. She picked up the black book and opened it to the very first page.

Dear Diary,

Today's my first day at Hogwarts! I'm so excited, I've been waiting for what seemed like ages! I can't wait to see Fred and George! And, sort of Percy.

Percy scuffed at that sentence.

I really hope I get sorted into Gryffindor, if I don't I will feel like a burden...I'm really doubtful that I'll get in Gryffindor however, I'm not that brave. I'm terrified of spiders, and sometimes even my brothers. (Especially Fred and George) I hope I get Gryffindor, that'll give mum and dad a reason to be proud of me! Finally a reason to show me attention. I'm never noticed by them, they're always focusing on my siblings, especially Ginny. She's the youngest and the only girl, she's the favorite in the family. I'm not surprised, Ginny is awesome, she's amazing at Quidditch, smart, and so much more. I'm just...Ron, nothing special about me, I'm just a red headed Weasley. Anyway, I have to leave for the Hogwarts Express. Bye

Hermione had stopped reading. Everyone just stared at each other. Processing what Hermione had just read. No one dared to say anything, we all just...sat there.

"Um...s-shall we continue?" Ginny stuttered.

"We shouldn't..." Percy said.

"Oh come on Percy, just two more pages!" George pleaded.

"Fine, but nothing more, we're not supposed to read his diary without asking." Percy stated. Ginny grabbed the diary from the bed and flipped it to the very next page.

Dear Diary,

I got sorted into Gryffindor! I'm so happy, mum and dad will be so proud once they receive my owl! Anyway, I met a boy named Harry, he's really nice. And also, he's Harry Potter! Yeah, the famous Harry Potter! I immediately freaked out once I knew who he was, and he was talking to me, a stupid Weasley! I'm shocked. I don't have many friends back at home. Lots of kids tease me, especially this boy named Draco Malfoy. He made fun of me yesterday. But I really didn't care, I mean all those mean comments he said about me are honestly true. Well, enough about Malfoy. I'm sharing a room with Harry Potter! And also a few other boys too. Their names are Dean, Seamus, and Neville, they're all really nice to me. I can tell this is going to be a pretty good year.

Ginny had finished reading. "Gosh, why does Ron say such negative things about himself?" George asked. We all just stood there.

"I'll read one, and then we're done for today." Mrs. Weasley said, Ginny handed her the book.

Dear Diary,

It's the end of my first year! I completely forgot about this diary, that's why I haven't written, plus I was to busy because Hermione was forcing me to do my schoolwork. Anyway, something crazy happened! We found out Professor Quirrel, our DADA teacher, was actually disguised as You Know Who, crazy right? Well, Harry, Hermione and I went to go and defeat him. Harry ended up killing him with the Philosophers Stone! I sacrificed myself in a game of Wizards Chess, I ended up unconscious. I sort of wish I hadn't woken up to be honest...Ron stop, you can't say that, your completely relieved and happy that you woke up! Well, my first year is officially over!

"I think that's enough of Ron's diary today..." Mr. Weasley said the moment we finished the page. All of us just nodded, processing everything Ron had wrote all those years ago.

"We should all go down and eat some breakfast, Harry, Hermione you two are welcome to join us." Mrs. Weasley smiled a weak smile before exiting the room.

"At work tonight I'll inform the Ministry about Ron's disappearance if you'd like dad." Percy stood up.

"That's good to me." Mr. Weasley said, him and Percy both left discussing what they would do to help find Ron.

"I um s-should go help mum finish..." Ginny said and quickly left right behind Mr. Weasley and Percy. I nodded and looked over at Hermione. She was crying again.

"Hermione...it's okay, we'll find Ron soon!" I said trying to comfort her.

"This is all my fault!" Hermione sobbed in my shoulder.

"No it isn't!"

"Yes it is!"

"How?"

"I'll tell you back at Grimmauld Place..." Hermione answered nervously, I nodded and we both went downstairs. What did she have to tell me?
