"You'll be teaching a class, child." Byleth blinked in surprise. She was a mercenary before coming to the church, and now she was a professor in the school here? The woman in front of her continued. "Please, go talk to the students in each house and choose which you shall teach," Lady Rhea said gently and kindly.

"O-Of course, Archbishop," Byleth said, bowing to the woman. She glanced at Seteth, the man beside  Archbishop Rhea, who had a scowl on his face. It was clear to Byleth that he didn't trust her or Jeralt. With a nod, she turned and left to speak to the students.

---

Sylvain was talking to Felix when he saw a new face at the Academy. And damn, was she beautiful. "The new student seems rather... Sweet," Felix cringed. The blue-haired man looked at the man beside him and sighed. "Don't tell me you're going to go talk to her. We haven't finished out conversation."

"Of course not," Sylvain said, turning back to Felix. "But to me, that blue-haired girl was beautiful," he explained.

"Of course you would think that of her...' Felix sighed.

Byleth kept her straight face as she walked to talk to Dimitri. She saw Sylvain and Felix, and decided to introduce herself to possible students. Walking over she started to hear their words.

"Honestly, Silvain. You need to stop being such a ladies man," she overheard Felix say. Ah, so the red-haired man was this Sylvain that Dorethea and Bernadetta had warned her about. Apparently he was known for messing with girls, and never sticking to one. She had to be careful around him. "Greetings," she said to the two boys, nodding her head. "My name is Byleth Eisner."

Sylvain smiled brightly and warmly. Even her name is beautiful, he thought. "I am Sylvain Jose Gautier. A pleasure to meet you, milady." Felix groaned.

"Felix Hugo Fraldarius. Now, if you'll excuse us, Sylvain and I were talking," Felix said, clearly unamused.

Byleth nodded. "Of course. My apologies. I will speak to you later." She left then to go find Dimitri.

Sylvain sighed softly. "I think I'm in love..."

"You always say that about every girl you meet," Felix said, growing rather frustrated with the Gautier.

"No, really. Something tells me that Byleth is different from all the other girls," Sylvain insisted. And he wasn't lying. He felt truly attracted to Byleth. Not like how he was to all the other girls he had dated.

---

"So... Have you made your decision," Rhea asked.

"Yes, Archbishop Rhea. I'd like to teach the Black Eagles," Byleth said. Then a question popped into her mind. "Can I recruit other students into my class?" Manuela and Hanneman nodded.

"As long as they want to, I don't mind at all if you recruit my students," Manuela said. Hanneman agreed.

"You will have missions each month to teach your students with. Good luck, Professors." Rhea said, calmness locked in her voice.

---------

The first day off after the mock battle, Byleth went to explore. Sothis and her had a nice, mostly one-sided, conversation as she looked for Sylvain. "Why do you insist on recruiting a man who only toys with women," Sothis asked.

"Perhaps I can stop it. Help him become better. Not to mention he's an extremely talented lancer." Byleth had explained this to Sothis a few times before, though it never seemed to stay in the mind of the young goddess.

"Very well... Though you should do well to be weary around such a woman's man. Oh, there he is," Sothis said, pointing in he direction of the lancer. Not that Byleth could see where the green-haired girl was pointing. Byleth approached Sylvain, eyes brimming with caution.

"Oh! Hello, Professor. Tell me, what can I do for you?" Sylvain had a goofy smile upon his face, his eyes glittering. It was no wonder girls fell for him, even with the fact that he was a ladies  man.

"Well, I was wondering-" Byleth started to speak when Sylvain cut her off.

"Actually, before you continue, I have a request. Let me join your class." Byleth blinked in surprise.

"That... Of course! If you would like, we'll have Hanneman transfer you right away," she said, smiling gently.

That smile. It drove Sylvain nuts. According to Ferdinand and Linhardt, she rarely smiled. He felt almost honoured to be seeing it. "I'd like that a lot," he said, smiling gently back. He found himself lost in Byleth's blue eyes, the sapphire colour melting his playboy personality even more.

Byleth stayed silent before clapping a bit. "Hello, Fòdlan to Sylvain."

Her clapping brought him back to reality. "Yes?"

"I was saying you'll need to come with to get the paperwork filled out," Byleth repeated, her voice still calm. Sylvain nodded, and together they walked to Hanneman's office.
