"Where were you last night?"

I crossed my arms and glared at him who just entered our hotel looking so freaking calm as if he didn't just left a pregnant woman alone at night!

"I repeat, where were you last night?" I said, emphasizing every words.

He just looked at me and rolled his eyes, annoyed. He just passed right behind me as if he didn't noticed me. Seriously! I could feel steam coming out of my ears yet he just ignored me like I'm sort of a ghost or something. Damn it!

Out of frustration, I followed him and aggressively pulled him to look at me.

"What the—? What's wrong with you?!" he yelled at the top of his lungs.

I flinched as I stared at his widened eyes and flared nostrils. His face also turned red, indicating how mad he is.

He never shouted at me like this before.

Like a ticking bomb waiting to explode, my anger sprouted even more. I gritted my teeth as I felt my eye twitched.

"What's wrong with me? No! What's wrong with you!" I pointed at his chest. "You're always away even during the weekends when you shouldn't even be working. Every time I need you, you're always not there! Where on Earth were you going?!"

He just looked away. Like a reprimanded child, he just glared at me back. I calmed my agitating system and suppressed my tears from falling down on my cheeks.

I need to calm down, it's not good for the baby.

"What's happening to you, Davien?" I said, softly. "You are being unusual these days. You're getting distant from me. When in fact, you should be right here, with me, because I'm carrying our child. I need you."

His face as hard as stone turned to looked at me. I've never seen this side of him before. The way he condemnly stared through my eyes felt like it's piercing my soul. It's scary.

"First of all, you don't care where and when should I leave or not. And if that child is just bugging you, then don't blame it on me. Just for your information, that child wasn't even planned!"

His words were like sharp knives, slashing the inside of my ribcage.

How can he say that so easily?

No words came out from my mouth. I was way too shocked, I couldn't digest everything he said. That was way out of line. Disappointingly, I just felt my eyes starting to water again.

"I set up a rule, no baby first, and you broke that. If you were being careful, none of this would have happened. Now we have a child. An unwanted child! If you're just gonna complain everyday about you getting pregnant... then get rid of the baby! I don't fucking care—"

I slapped him.

With tears finally escaping from my eyes, I slapped him, hard enough for it to echo in the whole apartment.

I stared at him in pure disbelief and disgust. I pursed my lips, trying my best to stop myself from bawling; it did not help as I finally broke down.

I scoffed. "Get rid of the baby? Can you even hear yourself? Are you seriously telling me to get an abortion just like that?" I said in a low voice, struggling to speak and cry at the same time.

"Were you really the man I married? Are you really my Davien?"

With shaking hands and pounding heart, I looked at him to check his reaction. I balled my fist, desperately hoping to learn that what he said wasn't what he meant. But my heart sank when I saw no hint of regret and pity on his face.
