This is the closest I could get to what I wanted Kaylee to look like.
I recommend the series by the way!

"You alright, Kit Kat?" Anthony asked Kaylee as they trekked through the forested hills. "I can get off if you want?"

Kaylee made a deep sound in her throat that Anthony had come to understand as a 'Shut up and don't question' kind of sound. He just shrugged and laid down on Kaylee's back as she navigated the terrain.

He closed his eyes, feeling the way Kaylee's powerful shoulders moved when she walked. Playing with a patch of her bright, blood-coloured fur, he let his mind wander to the day his grandparents told him the truth...

"I'm a son of Hephaestus," his grandfather told him.

"I'm a daughter of Hecate," his grandmother told him.

"Your father was a god, a powerful one...but we swore not to tell you. You'll have to travel to Camp Half-Blood to find out the truth," his grandfather said.

"Be careful of trusting people," his grandmother explained. You never know if they're a monster until it's too late."

"And never travel out in the open," his grandfather explained. "Stay in the wilder parts and you'll only have to worry about monsters and not other people as well."

"I carried this bag when I was young," his grandmother said. "Whatever you put in will always fit. Over the years, we've put in an assortment of weapons for this day."

"This is one weapon that I built myself," his grandfather said. "Take care of her and she'll take care of you."

"We both love you so much!"

That was almost three weeks ago and the last time Anthony had seen another human being. He had found Kaylee a week later, hurt and dying. He healed her injuries and ran away. But Kaylee seemed to think that he was worth keeping around and followed him, protecting him from the most dangerous monsters.

"We're family now, right?" Anthony asked her. She grumbled slightly, which brought a smile to his face. "Good. I'll always be there for you."
