II. INTRODUCTION TO PUROHIT FAMILY

Nikita's POV

I woke up by the sound of an alarm, it was 6 a.m. I got up from the floor, went to the bathroom to get bath. I saw myself in the mirror as a thin, weak, short about 5'5", scared and dull looking girl. I got dressed in the bathroom, as the house in which I live is 1BHK, the bedroom is occupied by my parents and little sister. I live in the hall, as no other place is left and my parents don't entertain me in their room. Thankfully there are two bathrooms in our rented house or it would have been difficult for me.

My parents hate me because I was their unwanted and unexpected child. They believe, the day I was born their downfall started. As in their early days they were financially good. By the time I turned 1, my parents lost everything including their house. They were going to abandon me but my grandfather forced them to keep me. They say this every time to me that I am unlucky to them and they lost everything they had because of me, but the real reason is that they are extremely lazy and don't work. It's me who runs the house financially, as I work in a big grocery store after my school and on weekends. The day I get my salary, they take it from me and doesn't give me a penny from my own hard-earned money.

But my salary is not enough to carry out the expenses. So when my salary is finished they work and get some money. They work for like 7 days in a month and get back to their normal lazy life. Those 7 days are extremely difficult for me, as they beat me every time and cuss me as they have to work and I am in lot of physical and mental pain.

I am a 16 years old school going kid. With God's grace I am good in studies which helped me in getting scholarship and I will get it till I complete my high school and there are still 2 years left for that. The atmosphere is not much different in school as I get bullied every time by everyone. I go in a private school, where all the rich kids come and me being poor they don't like me. I have a best-friend named Ekta, who studies in my school. Like others she is also rich but she is not like the other kids. She treats me very well. We are very close from the beginning and share everything with each other. She is the one who knows everything about me, how my parents treat me and she hates my parents more than me and she wants to literally kill them for the way they treat me. She is the only one who knows my biggest secret that I am a lesbian. As she was the 1st girl whom I kissed when we were 14. She didn't feel bad about it, but she told me that she is straight. 

I didn't tell this to anybody in school as I am scared that they will bully me more and I can even lose my scholarship and if my parents know about it, they will either kill me or throw me out of the house.

My father's name is Mr. Ronak Purohit. He is 35 years old, whose favourite pass time is to beat me, cuss me and do nothing. He always wants to indulge in fight with someone so that later he can take out his anger on me. My mother's name is Mrs. Asha Purohit. She is 34 years old and is beautiful in looks, but ugly from the heart and she also likes to beat me every time. My parents hate me very much and I am very scared of them as they just try to find an excuse to beat me. So I try to be obedient to them all the time. I also hate my parents. The only person in the house who loves me is my little sister Arya and I also love her. She is 2 years old and is very cute and beautiful. Thankfully my parents love her.

I go to the kitchen to have breakfast and to my surprise my parents are awake. As normally they are sleeping when I leave for school or for work. I have an egg,a slice of bread and a cup of tea. I love to drink tea, to be specific black tea, as we can't afford milk. When I am about to leave for grocery store to work, my father tells me to come home by 10.30 a.m. as we are going to have lunch with some people in a restaurant. I feel something suspicious, but I let it go and leave for work.
