XXVI: EVENT, AUCTION, BIRTHDAY AND GIFT

Mayra's POV

I got up like always, went to the gym, Smitha was already there. While Nikita was doing Yoga with one of Smitha's assistant. Smitha believes that Yoga should be done in the garden in fresh air, not in a packed room. So, Nikita practices Yoga in garden only. Yoga has helped her a lot. We have been monitoring her and doing her tests and there is improvement.

After working out, I went to my room to take bath. I got out from the bathroom and heard someone yelling my name, while knocking the door. I quickly wear some clothes and open the door. It is my parents. I am surprised and shocked to see them. It's the first time they are here. I quickly hug them and ask them, why they are here. They never go anywhere without any reason.

They tell me that there is a charity event at the mansion in the evening. They organize a charity event and auction, something every year a couple of days before my birthday. The amount collected at the auction is used for a noble cause on my birthday.

Before we could talk anymore, my parents want to see the mansion and I have to dry my hair and inform Pooja. So, I ask Rasika to give them a tour of the mansion. Nikita has already gone to school and will be back by 1 p.m.

While the event organizers are there looking for a perfect spot for the event. I call pooja telling and inviting her for the event. I head towards the kitchen for breakfast. The breakfast is served and I see my parents coming back with Rasika. I ask them to sit for breakfast and they sit. After finishing the breakfast, I tell them that I have to leave for office, but they don't let me.

I ask my parents what they are planning for auction. My father is about to speak, when my mother interrupts him by saying, "We have few things in mind, but we are not sure yet." "Better be sure before the event!" I say and I see my parents exchanging looks among themselves.

My father tells me that the event is veryimportant, as the Chief Minister is also going to attend it. So, we must have avery tight security. I tell them that I need to make few calls and do some importantwork, as I am not going to the office and I go to my office room. While they getbusy with their event with the organizers.

Suman's POV

While getting the tour, we learnt that Mayra and Nikita are living in separate rooms. We asked Rasika about them and she told us everything. We both were upset after knowing that being married for more than 6 months, they still live like strangers.

When Mayra got busy with her office work, we were busy organizing the event. We discussed about what we should auction and I came up with a wonderful idea. It was lunch time and we ate lunch with Mayra. After finishing lunch, Nikita came and she was surprised and happy to see us. We told her about today's event.

It is now 6 p.m. and the guests have started to come. The event will start once the Chief Minister arrives. The event is happening in the garden. I look around and see Mayra coming along with Nikita. They both were holding each other's hand, but I know that it is fake. They were looking beautiful.
