"I know I'm gonna be in Europe but call or text or chat me anytime, 'kay?" Carizza said as I wore my second shoe.

I looked up at her and grinned. "Are you sure you want to hear boring stories about my summer? Your boyfriend is much interesting than my summer stories. Besides," I flipped up the handle of my luggage, "you're in Europe. I don't think you would even think about me once you step foot at the airport."

She threw a pillow at me.

I laughed as she stood up to pick it up.

"I'm gonna miss you, though." She hugged me tight.

"Aw. You know I'm gonna miss you too." I pulled away from the hug. "But I don't wanna miss my flight so I gotta go. See you after summer."

We gave each other one last hug before I left our dorm room.

There was already a taxi waiting for me outside. How convenient it was to have everything online.

I also saw my mom posted on her facebook that she's excited. I told her not to post anything but she still did. The post might not gave everything but that's definitely something. Some of her friends even commented asking what she's excited about.

It was a quick ride to the airport. There were few people flying in tonight than last year, which of course was not a significant comparison. I think most people would still wait for a week before they go on vacation since summer just started.

Forty five minutes later after check in, I was finally seated to my seat, window side of course. I informed mom that I was board so she would know when to pick me up. I preferred mom picking me up at the airport because dad likes to talk a lot. And I was kind of tired I just wanted to sleep the whole ride home and then another when we arrive at the house. We'd have plenty of time starting tomorrow.

She replied to my text with a grinning emoji and fireworks and the girl dancing. She learned using them from her assistant, Kelsey.

I turned my phone in airplane mode as the attendants made another round before the captain introduced himself. Ten minutes in and we're finally in the air. My eyes were drooping as the faded lights of JFK and New York faded in the horizon.

I was not the heavy sleeper. But for some reason, I slept all throughout my flight. One of the flight attendants was kind enough to wake me just as almost everyone was walking out.

"Welcome to Wilmington," she said with a smile.

I smiled back, grabbed my luggage from the overhead bin and hurriedly walked out, thanking them for the safe flight.

"That was embarrassing," I mumbled to myself.

I looked out for mom. It's almost twelve midnight and I think I'd been so tired the whole day with the last errands I did. I just wanted to take a good night sleep and just greet everyone tomorrow when I wake up.

"Oh, darling." Mom came forth from the right side and hugged me tight. To my surprise though, she's not alone. Trailing behind her was dad and my brothers who were grinning widely at me.

"Did I miss something?" I asked as I pulled away from mom's hug. "Hi, dad."

He smiled. "We miss you, sweetie." He gave me a bear hug.

"I thought you won't be back until next week? I didn't buy you anything."

"It's okay." Then he leaned a little to whisper, "You know your mom's always the one waiting if you buy her anything so let's just give it to her." We both chuckled. Mom hit dad on the arm. They took my luggage and walked to the car.

"And you two; how did they even convince you to join them as well?" I asked my brothers.

"Mom said you have something for us," Quill said.

Corey nodded with him.

I rolled my eyes but smiled, then kissed them both on their foreheads. I took their hands and walked to where our car was. "Of course I have something for you, two, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow."

When we're seated inside and dad was already driving away. The boys were thinking of what I bought them, in which, none of the things they were saying was one of it. I should've known to ask mom instead of guessing.

The twins were growing so fast that I did not think they wouldn't even like coloring books and matching toy cars anymore.

"Hey, guys. Don't expect too much," I told them.

Corey narrowed his eyes at me. "I bet you don't have anything for us."

I feigned shock. "Of course I do have. You know what? You can search it in my luggage when we get home but I'll head straight to my room so don't bother me until tomorrow, okay?"

Quill rubbed his chin, watching me closely. "You've got yourself a deal."

I turned to mom, who's watching us from the rearview mirror. "What have you done with them?" I asked her.

She chuckled. "They're growing, Mags. You know boys their age are very experimental with a lot of things."

"I don't even want to know."

The forty-five-minute drive from the airport put the twins to knock out sleep. Dad took my bags while I carried Quill. Mom took Corey.

As we walked towards the boys' room, mom said in a hushed voice, "I'm so glad you're home."

I smiled. "It's only three months, mom, but I'm glad as well."

We laid them both on their beds. Mom ushered me to my room where dad had placed my things. He kissed me good night before leaving mom and me.

"I won't take you long since I know how tired you are right now," she said. "But we have visitors coming tomorrow..."

I was about to protest but she shushed me real quick.

"It's not a welcome party, don't worry. I kept in mind what you said about those things. So I invited a few to have brunch with us. They're your friends here and I know you miss some of them too."

I sighed. "Okay. I hope it turn out good."

"It will be." She kissed me on the side of my head. "I'll let you be now, darling. Sweet dreams."

When I was left in my room, I changed into my pyjamas and instead of checking my socials, I plopped on my bed and merged myself into a deep sleep.
