Going Thunderous

Chapter three

I swear to God that I could hear my own heartbeat! Aww!! It was so loud I feared It will fly out of my chest and give away my tremendous fear.
I bumped into the most notorious, popular, rich, saucy beautiful girl, that getting into trouble with her is like digging your own grave. Her books were on the floor, I glanced up at her to meet her peircing gaze. If eyes could kill, I would be dead like a turkey right now, her friends (or should I say her followers) just stood to watch the scene unfold. Leah was by my side but she did not say a word. Every where was just so silent you could hear a pin drop, it was as if time stopped as everyone just waited to see what will happen next.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the most ugly girl in school, don't you look where you are walking or your ugliness makes you not look up when you are walking hmm Amelia"?! Maddie scolded at me with a wide smirk on her face

"Uhmm am so sorry Ma aa a aa aa di e" I stammered.

"Shove that your stupid sorry down your throat, I don't fucking need it"! she seethed. You could see rage in her eyes. I was visibly shaken cause I know my life in school will be hundred times worse than before with the hate am seeing in her eyes, I knew it won't end here, not at all.

"Maddie please can you forg....." Before I could finish my sentence a hot slap landed on my face and tears immediately sprang to my eyes.

"Hey watch it Maddie" Leah said standing between me and Maddie. Am telling you I could not see shit, tears were full in my eyes that threatened to spill out but I held them back.

"Will you get out of the way Leah" Maddie shoved Leah aside as she faced me again.
"So why are you just standing there holding your cheek will you kneel down and pick my notebooks, you swine"! Maddie shouted at me and pushed me down to a kneeling position as the tears I was holding spilled out. Everyone just stood watching us, enjoying the show.
"Now Amelia, since you are in a kneeling position, I might accept your apology if you say sorry kneeling down. Can you do that Amelia"? Maddie said smirking down at me, students cheered her on.

My head was bent and I just had to do what she was asking
"Maddie am so sorry for knocking your books down and not watching were I was going" I pleaded.

"Okay now I accept your apology, get up Amelia".

"Thanks" I responded as I got up, my face soaked with tears.

"But let me tell you something Amelia, just apologising to me does not mean we are friends, understand"?!

"Ugh"I looked up at her.

"Yes Amelia, you see, no one makes trouble with me and gets away with it, watch your back Amelia". Maddie scowled at me, the next thing she did, I did not expect, the smoothie that one of her girls was holding, she grabbed it from the girl and poured it on my uniform!

"Ooh thats something"! The students laughed at me. I gaped at my uniform not believing my eyes, my uniform was all soiled!

Maddie and her puppets passed me and continued to wherever they were going to. Leah rushed to my side using her handkerchief to clean the smoothie, but it was making it worse instead.

"I just want to go home Leah, please". I was talking and crying as I ran out of the school, with some students laughing at me in the process. I trekked all the way home, with stares all corners, coupled with the tears that were pouring from my eyes in torrents.

I opened the door to my house and shut the door behind me. All I was praying was that my mum should not be around cause I don't want her to start asking questions. I paused, to see if I will hear a sound but non came, and I felt relieved. I turned back to go to my room but I was cut short on my steps when I heard my name being called...

"Amelia what happened to you".......oooh ooh!!
