Todoroki's POV
After finishing my homework in my dorm, updating UA with my new contact details and worrying about Fuyumi (but frustratingly not being able to do anything about it!), I head downstairs to meet the others. I'm still wearing the same thing: a red flannel shirt, black jeans and black shoes. I don't bother bringing a jacket even though it's a chilly evening, because the cold never bothered me anyway.
Huh, that sounds familiar...
I walk down the stairs to see Bakugo and Kirishima already waiting by the front door. Bakugo's changed clothes slightly — he's still got the ripped black jeans, but he's wearing a black hoodie and white coat now. He looks so hot and I feel my cheeks flush slightly.
Kirishima is talking ecstatically about something, wearing a plain black shirt and red trousers, with a cap placed backwards on his head and a black face mask styled delicately, resting under his chin.
The redhead suddenly whispers something to Bakugo, and the dirty blond smirks and chuckles. Even though Bakugo looks genuinely happy, I feel a sharp pain in my chest, like I'm mad at something.
Or someone.
No! I'm not jealous of Kirishima... am I?
They do look really close, and not just friendship-wise. They're standing really close together. I watch as Bakugo bumps his shoulder into Kirishima's, whispering something which makes the redhead explode into bellows of manly laughter, and I feel another sharp tug on my heart.
Ignore these feelings, Shoto. Just focus on the night ahead, with your friends.
I walk over to the two, and as they notice me approaching, Kirishima smiles whilst Bakugo scowls, a light pink dust covering his cheeks.
"Midoriya is not here yet," I declare after quickly glancing around.
"No shit, Sherlock," Bakugo snorts. "Maybe you should get your eyes checked, I always though there must be something wrong because they're two fucking different colours, Half N Half."
Ah, there he is! The hot-headed, bully, short-tempered, loves-to-curse, cocky Bakugo. Or, should I say, the normal Bakugo.
"Todoroki-kun! Kirishima! Kacchan!" An enthusiastic voice calls and I turn to see Midoriya, Uraraka and Iida walking towards us. They're dressed up in outfits that reflect their usual style, and they're all smiling excitedly at us.
"If we leave now, we will make it to the beach exactly as the fairground opens for tonight!" Iida informs us, chopping the air with his hands. "It takes us 15 minutes to get to the beach, so that leaves us with 3 hours and 30 minutes at the fair, with 15 minutes to walk back in time for the 10pm Saturday curfew!"
Uraraka nods, grinning at all of us. "Tonight's gonna be so fun!"
* * * * *
As the sun sets over the beach, I check my phone for the time — 8:32pm.
Half an hour ago, Uraraka had started to feel sick from all the candy floss she had eaten, so Iida volunteered to take her back to the dorms, before she had a chance to throw up over all of us.
Then, only a few minutes ago, Kirishima had dragged Bakugo off for some reason, which felt like a mini spear impaling my heart.
Now, Midoriya and I walk through the fairground, looking for the next mini game to play. However, he's frowning and doesn't seem at all interested in the duck-themed game we stopped in front of.
"Midoriya, is something on your mind?" I ask, concerned.
"It's just... I just..." Midoriya sighs sadly. "I-I think I really like someone but- but they don't seem to like me back i-in the same way!" he blurts out.
