the mystery: chapter 2

(SANS POV)

w..where am i? this looks like a surface forest not snowdin. how did i get here? why am i here? is this a different timeline? if so why do i still have my injury.... hmmm. welp, better get up.

(3rd person pov)

as sans struggles to stand as he finally manages to stand and wobbles over to a tree clearly in pain and sighs leaning against it. a russleing can be heard beside him. he looks to his left as a beowolf jumps out and lounges towards sans. sans quickly shoots his hand up and a huge dragon skull appears which opens up its mouth then fires a white laser through the beowolf and into the sky. when the attack stopped sans started to cough while trying to hold himself up from falling.

sans: " huh... magic doesn't like me right now. that's a big PAIN heh heh heh he-cough cough- oww... what was that thing?"

sans says while holding his chest where his wound is,

sans: "meh, to be honest i don't really care about that right now."

he looks around him and sees a path that looks overgrown

Sans: "hmmm...  lets try and go that way"

as sans begins to walk down the path with the help of trees 2 people saw the beam of light from the forest through a window...

Glynda: " professor Ozpin what was that?"

a figure named Ozpin sips from his endless coffee mug.

Ozpin: " i'm not entirely sure...  perhaps we should bring in a team to investigate..."

Ozpin then walks over to a microphone on his desk and speaks into it.

Ozpin: " team RWBY please report to my office"

Ozpin sits behind his desk and glynda stands beside him. after a few minutes a door opens with 4 people inside. 2 of them are arguing with each other while in the elevator

???1: "this is your fault if you didn't do something stupid we wouldn't be here"

???2: "i didn't do anything though. i have no clue why were here"

???3: "weiss maybe Ozpin wants us to do something for him."

Weiss: "well what if were not. Yang probably did something like she usually does!"

Ozpin: clears throat

team RWBY freeze and turn towards Ozpin

Ozpin: "team RWBY, please come in"

Ozpin gestures to his desk with 4 chairs in front of it. team RWBY walk in and sits down.

Ozpin: "if you are all wondering no you are not in trouble"

Team RWBY sigh in relief.

Ozpin: "i have a mission for you, if you will accept it that is."

Yang: " if we get to skip class im up for it"

Weiss: " of course you would b e up for it."

???3: " if we get to kill grimm i'll be happy!"

???4: "i don't have anything better to do anyway, so okay"

Ozpin: "great i will prepare a bullhead immediately while i brief you about this mission. and yes Ruby you might be able to kill a few grimm."

Ruby: " yay!"

she smiles with glee.

Ozpin: "so the mission i have for you is to investigate this beam of light in the emerald forest"

Glinda places a tablet in front of the team showing the white beam of light that shoots up into the sky.

Ruby: it looks so pretty"

Ruby says admiring the light. Ozpin nods

Ozpin: " even though its pretty we need to find out the cause of this. it might be a new type of grimm."

???4: "i hope it isn't. one more problem to take care of"

Ozpin: "indeed it would be blake but this is why your team is gonna go investigate it.

RWBY: "okay"

about 10 minutes later the girls are outside boarding the bullhead to emerald forest. once the girls are inside the bullhead it takes off into the sky to its destination. Ruby begins to jump around.

Ruby: "i'm so excited! what do you think we will find? what if we discover a new type of grim? What if it like cookies or worse what if it doesn't like cookies!!!"

Yang: "calm down ruby well find out once we get there."

blake is reading a book in the corner of the bullhead called "a man with 2 souls" (yeah yeah surrreeeee) Weiss is reloading her dust in her rapier with ice dust. after a while of hyper ruby the bullhead lands on the ground. the girls jump out of the bullhead and it takes off back into the sky.Ruby walks around some trees looking around for grim. Yang is re-adjusting her gauntlets because she didn't do it before. Weiss sees red on the ground and jumps up into blake's arms

Weiss: "EW EW EW THERE BLOOD ON THE GROUND!!!"

RBY glance to the ground and see the red substance. blake sniffs the air.

Blake: "yes that's blood and its fresh too."

she smelled the air once again and looks in the direction of an overgrown pathway

Blake: "whatever was here is injured and heading that way"

she points at the overgrown pathway.

Ruby: "what are we waiting for then? lets go!"

she says as she runs down the path

Yang: "RUBY WAIT UP!" 

WBY chases after ruby down the overgrown path where a certain injured skeleton is wondering around
