"Change Your Thoughts, and You Change Your World." - Norman Vincent Peale

When Noah opened his eyes, he was met with black. He turned his head slightly as he felt that he was tied up and gagged. His mind went a little fuzzy at the feeling of the rope but as he heard heavy panting from beside him, the blackness was then ripped away. His eyes adjusted to the light as he blinked, showing him a man in front of him.

The man bared his teeth and fangs descended from his gums over his human set. Noah heard a grunt beside him and his head turned to Sam and the vampire approached his newfound friend.

He reached his foot out and kicked the vampire to take his attention off of Sam, his eyes hardened as he gave a cold, hard glare at the creature. He was a protective human being by nature and he wouldn't have this thing hurt Sam if it was the last thing he did.

The vampire got into his face, baring his teeth as a threat but he was stopped, "Wait, step back Eli," A woman, clearly another vampire, spoke from the doorway.

The vampire, Eli, took a few steps back and stood tall, allowing his fangs to retract once more. His eyes remained on Noah however as he glared at him.

The woman walked over to Noah and Sam, "My name's Lenore, I'm not gonna hurt you," she said as she pulled the bandannas from their mouths.

"We just need to talk," she said. "Talk? Yeah okay, but I might have a tough time paying attention to much besides Eli's teeth," Sam said in a bitter manner. Noah kept his glare trained on Lenore.

"He won't hurt you either, you have my word," Lenore promised the two. "Your word? Oh, yeah, that's reassuring given I'm currently tied up!" Noah exclaimed sarcastically. "Yeah, great thanks, listen Lady, no offense, but you're not the first vampire I've met," Sam spoke in a smiliar tone.

"We're not like the others, we don't kill humans, and we don't drink their blood, we haven't for a long time," Lenore assures. "What is this, some kind of sick joke?" Sam questioned as his eyes shot between Lenore and Eli, who paced in the corner.

"Notice you're still alive," She pointed out. Sam's head turned as his gaze flickered between both vampires, a small smile and an exhale of amusement escaping his lips as Noah stared straight ahead, simply pissed off.

"Okay, uh, correct me if I'm wrong here, but shouldn't you be starving to death?" Noah pondered. "We found other ways, cattle blood," she said, looking to her companion.

"You're telling me that you're responsible for all the-" Noah was cut off. "It's not ideal, in fact, it's disgusting, but it allows us to get by," Lenore spoke.

"Okay, uh, why?" Sam asked. "Survival, no deaths, no missing locals, no reason for people like you to come looking for people like us, and we blend in, our kind is practically extinct, it turns out we weren't quite as high up on the food chain as we thought," Lenore explained as she cross her arms and looked between the two with a small bit of anger.

"Why are we explaining ourselves to these killers?" Eli asked, clearly angry. "Eli," Lenore commanded and the vampire stood down slightly. She was clearly the leader of the coven.

"We choke on cow's blood so that they don't have to suffer, tonight they murdered Conrad adn they celebrated!" Eli exclaimed. "Eli, that's enough," Lenore commanded him.

"Yeah, Eli, that's enough," Noah mocked. "What's done is done, we are leaving this town tonight," Lenore spoke.

"Then why did you bring us here? Why are you even talking to us?" Sam questioned.
