I wake up to Russelling in a bush near by, as I'm sitting up I see Alex sleeping beside me. I can't help but smile, he is so reckless while awake. But when he's asleep he seems so peaceful, he's slightly smiling. I brush some hair out of his eyes. As I'm going this he wakes up. "Hey beautiful." He says still drowsy from sleep. " admiring me.." a blush rushes over my cheeks. "Wha- what n- no of course not I just- uhh." Thankfully the Russel returns, I'm snapped out of my blush and exit the tent. I stop in my tracks as I see a huge Mountain Lion.. I don't know what to do. I think Alex notices because he comes out too. What are you-" his face goes pale. Then I start doing something I can't explain. Time slows down for real this time. I walk towards the animal, and say "don't worry we are not enemies we are your friends we can share this land. Will you share this land with me?" The Mountain lion brushes up against me. As if saying "We can share.."
Time goes back to normal. "What just happened" I say under my breath. "Woah!" Alex says. "You where like "we can share" and then he was like yeah sure." Me and the mountain lion turn our head. "I'm confused.." I say to him. I turn to the mountain lion.
Time slows down once more. "Can you help me understand what's happening?" I ask in a soothing tone. I snap back. The mountain lion lies down. As if saying "I can show you come with me." Here goes nothing I think as I climb on the mountain lion.
