"Ummmm." I say as I steady my breath. "Why d-did you. Uhh." I stutter as I rearrange how I'm sitting "Because I like you." "Oh ok." I say as I exhale. "Well, what if I like you too?" "Well then I guess you win." "Heh."
After a few awkward conversations. We decided to go to bed after :"hows your turtle?" "Salty."
When I wake up Alex is not in the tent. He's outside boiling water to drink. "Hey." I say sitting next to him.
"Hi." "Hey did you want to name the mountain lion?" He says getting up. "That was random, but ok."
I whistle on command, and the mountain lion comes out of the bushes near by. "That was cool." "Yeah I know." The mountain lion lays down. "Ok what name were you thinking?" "TERRY!" "Ok ok, do you like.....Ferry? "TERRY!!" The mountain lion rolls over ok it's back. "I think that's a yes!"
And as the years when ok lander and Alex grew closer. And when Alex finally made a house... somehow. They even had a very unofficial wedding.
Terry was purring something. "What is he saying?" Alex whispers. "I have no clue." I whisper back. When he stops we quickly straighten up. "I do." He purred something else "I do." We kissed to close the ceremony. And all the animals that could howled! I think one of the birds tried to howl.. I don't think it worked
They had two kids and lived together.
Lander didn't have to worry about her mom.
And Alex didnt have to worry about moving homes.
They named their first choked terry after the mountain lion.
And the second one, they named her after Alexes mother after she died from a fire at her office.
Amber.
The family lived together in happy harmony fir the rest of their days.
