Lily wanted to sleep in James' bed so badly that night, but she decided to move to the chair. She didn't think the Healers would be very happy with her in James' bed. Lily and James were awoken the next morning by the same Healer the day before.

"Good news, Mr Potter. There doesn't seem to be any permanent damage, so you are free to go today." The old lady told them as she bustled around the room scribbling on her clipboard.

"Really?" James exclaimed. He couldn't wait to get out of here; he hated being cooped up more than anything else. "What time can I leave?"

"As soon as you feel you are up to it and Mr Dumbledore arrives." She told them. "Of course, if you feel the need for more time here then you're welcome to stay."

He shook his head firmly. "I'm feeling absolutely fine."

The Healer smiled and nodded knowingly before leaving, closing the door behind her.

Lily got up from her awkward positon on the chair and stretched. She opened the curtains and let the light stream in. James got up too, stretching his arms out. He didn't seem to be in pain anymore which Lily was glad to see. There wasn't much to do, seeing as James hadn't exactly brought anything with him. All they had to do now was wait for Dumbledore to come.

"What time is it?" Lily asked, sitting down next to James and resting her head on his shoulder.

James checked his watching. "Ten forty-five. Did Dumbledore say anything about what time he was picking us up?" Lily shook her head in response. They sat together quietly, James tracing circles on her hand.

"Yeah... What do you mean? You're the one that was hurt." She said, giving him an odd look.

"I mean, after last night? Because you were acting a little off." He said cautiously.

"No I wasn't."

"Lily..." He warned.

She sighed. "Okay, I was acting odd. And yes, I'm fine now. I don't know what was wrong with me."

"That's good." He said simply, slipping an arm around her waist. "You know what?" He asked suddenly.

"What?"

"I still can't believe you're mine." He said, pulling her close. Lily giggled.

"I still can't believe I said yes to you." James laughed at that.

"I did save your life, remember?" He teased and Lily shoved him.

"Don't remind me." She grinned. James turned her face to look at him. He gave her a quick peck on the nose and smiled. She looked up into his warm hazel eyes and smiled back.

There was a knock on the door and Dumbledore walked in. "I am glad to see you are still functioning, Mr Potter." Dumbledore smiled, his eyes twinkling as they always did.

"Thanks, sir." James grinned, standing up.

"And how are you, Miss Evans?" He asked, his eyes piercings through her.

"I'm doing fine thanks, sir." She replied.

"We best be off then." Dumbledore announced. They followed him through St Mungos and out into the streets of London. Dumbledore told them that he had lifted the enchantment from his office for the time being, so that they were able to apparate straight there. Lily turned on the spot and appeared in Dumbledore's office at the same time as James. They thanked the professor and went to find their friends.
