Next day
When I got home the only thing I could think about was what I saw.
Was it a dream or was it reality?
No, I couldn't have been dreaming in broad daylight. I must've seen him. He must be a new boy or something. Coz I've never seen him here.
As I was heading to class I came across the meanest bitch in my year.
Olivia Howard!
"Maddy!" She said in a high pitched tone.
"Olive!" I said with the same sarcasm.
"You actually look better than last year," I didn't know if I should take that as a compliment or an insult, "oh but your clothes...."
She said cringing at the site of my clothes.
"What's wrong with my clothes you spineful bitch?!" I am pissed. Anything but my clothes. I spent weeks shopping for my school wear.
"Nothing much, just that, I would dress my poodle in that outfit." She burst out in a fit of giggles.
"Shut up Olive." I joked, now also laughing.
She grabbed me in a bear hug. Yes, Olivia Howard is my second best friend.
That's just our way of saying hi after a long time. But I didn't joke when I said she's the meanest bitch in Year 11.
Olivia is easy on us (Jess and I) only because we're her best friends. Though she doesn't spare the others.
She's also the luckiest girl in Caterson Burg High. She's dating Oliver Green. The hottest jock in the school.
It's not so surprising, I mean, Olivia is the leader of the cheerleading squad.
With her perfect body and her long blonde hair, any guy would fall for her.
You must be wondering why Jess and I are still single. Well that's because Jess literally turns down every guy who asks her out.
Hot or not. She really doesn't care.
Jess is a charmer. With her dark hair and her grey eyes she can woo any guy. Unfortunately she doesn't believe in dating.
As for me, I believe in true love. Not just anyone. I believe in Mr. Perfect. That's why I'm still waiting for my prince charming.
Although the idea is old, I still believe in it. Like Juliet got her Romeo, Rose got her Jack...... Yes, I want it the same way.
"Girl, I got important news to share at lunch, you have to be there." Olivia only calls for an important meeting if it's something really big.
Like when her parents were getting a divorce or when her sister was getting married. Yes, stuff like that.
I wonder what the bitch has to share this time.
" Yeah, I'll be there. Wait. Is it really big?" I ask uncertain.
"Course it—
"How's the prettiest girl in the world?" Oliver shows up behind Olivia.
"No, don't flatter me babe. I'm still mad at you for not showing up yesterday." Olivia rolls her eyes.
"C'mon, I told you I wasn't feeling well."
"That's not an excuse. Last year when you had severe concussion, you still showed up for practice."
"Babe, forget the past." They both ignored the fact that I was still standing there.
"Hello! Earth to the Olive couple."
That's what the whole school refers to them as.
"Oh, Hi Maddy." How sweet!
"Suddenly I became visible. I'm out!" I better give them some privacy.
As I walk towards Lit, I start seeing doubles. A shock of pain runs through my head. I stumble.
I try to stay sturdy but I can't. My body finally gives up and I fall into someone's arms.

Brody's Pov
As I head to Algebra I see Madeleine Monroe. She looks drunk. I don't think alcohol is allowed at school. And wait, Maddy doesn't drink.
She sways from side to side until her legs can't take it anymore. As I reach closer. Her legs finally give up and she faints right into my arms.
Everyone gathers around me. My new best friend, Lucas Anderson, rushes to my side. Yes, we just met but we are best friends.
"What happened to her?" he asks concerned.
"Dude I don't know. She just fainted." Honestly I don't know what could've made her faint like that.
"Let's take her to the nurses office." Yeah, why didn't I think of that.
"C'mon."
I carry her bridal style and we head to the nurses office.
"Nurse, Maddy fainted!" I say in a panicked tone.
"Oh good lord. What happened?! Please put her on the bed quickly. Lemme examine her." Nurse Powell sounds more panicked than I am.
Wait, why did I panic.
"You boys should go to class. I'll take care of her."
"Nurse, please inform us when she regains consciousness." Why am I so worried?
"Dont worry, uuhhhh—
"Brody! I mean my name is Brody." I can't believe she doesn't know my name.
"Let's bounce man." Lucas says.
"C'mon."
