A scream breaks out echoing through the house. The dirty blonde haired girl sits up, tossing her pen. Her blue eyes stared at the door with her eyes squinted. Another screamed echoed through the house causing the girl to slide out of bed and tip toe quickly to her door. She places her hand on the edge of the door, carefully peeking her head out before hearing something trigger. She jumps back, her hand flying up to her mouth covering it. Slowly she backs up hearing footsteps followed by another gunshot. Without another moment wasted she runs to her nightstand picking up her phone. Tears slowly sliding down her cheeks as she pulls up the call pad. Shakily she begins to type 9-1-1.
"Hmm," a voice hummed causing the girl to jump and back up. The phone stayed in her hand, the numbers lingering on the screen. The blonde haired girl met brown eyes with a ski mask covering the rest of them. And before anything could happen the girl dropped her phone and ran towards her window. Moments before she reached it, she felt an arm wrap around her waist and a hand cover her mouth. A scream echoes through her lips, but nothing but mumbles escaped as the person dragged her to a wall. For a moment they stood there and until the masked person took the girl and pinned her to the wall. Muffled screams continued to escape from the girl till the masked figure pulled out a knife placing it to the girl's throat.
"Just...stay quiet," they whispered. Their voice sounded young. The girl's eyes switched back and forth between the brown ones as she tried to move. The person pushed the knife deeper into the skin, blood beginning to slip out. "I'm not going to kill you..But I need you to stay quiet and do as I say or they...They will kill you." The girl remains silent as the person eagerly stares into the girls eyes. "Do you understand?" Within a few moments the girl carefully nods her head up and down. The person nods, taking the knife off of the girl's throat and slowly removing their hand from the blue eyed girl's mouth. She stays silent for a moment as the person reaches into their back pocket pulling out zip ties. And before they could even look back up the girl reached forward shoving the person and running straight for the door.
The masked figure quickly took off after the girl. They stumble to the stairs and down quickly. There they find the blue eyed, blonde haired girl staring into the living room at the bottom of the stairs. Quickly the masked person ran over taking the girl's head and rammed it into the wall, causing the girl to drop to the floor. Her eyes went fuzzy, her vision going in and out. The masked person stood quiet for a moment, turning their head to the living room, listening carefully. After a few minutes they bend down and pick up the girl, throwing her over their shoulder. They carry the blonde haired girl back up the stairs and into her bedroom tossing her on the bed. Quickly, they take her hands and zip tie them together behind her back. Followed by her ankles zip tied together, tightly like her wrists. After that, the person looks around the room before spotting a bandana and placing it around the girl's mouth, tying it off in the back. Finally, the person picks up the girl and walks to the closet opening it up and placing the girl in as another gunshot goes off.

"Detective Mitchell," I hear my teammate say as he enters the elevator. I nod my head at him, giving him a smile as I keep resting against the wall. "It's nice seeing you come in so early for once."
"Yeah, well it's not like I had much of a choice," I responded, holding up my coffee as a cheers before taking a sip. Out of the corner of my eye I see him nod followed with a chuckle, staring straight ahead at the elevator doors. "Alright Ruzek, what's the case?"
"Really just like that? Right into the case?" I take another sip of my coffee nodding my head up and down, before turning my head and looking at him. He looks at me with his brown eyes twinkling from the bright lights in the elevator. "Fine. Our victim is 16 year old Casey Lowe. She was found tied up in her bedroom while her parents and brother were lying dead in the living room."
