My body became littered in scratches as I fled, the leaves digging into the exposed flesh on my arms, legs and torso. The silence I had grown accustomed to was terrifying when combined with the amber glow around me, the senbon needle barely missing me and knowledge of the people chasing me. I became cornered and turned to face those who were so furious with me, whose bloodlust was flooding out with them and drowning me and I allowed myself to step backwards, to plummet off of the cliff I was backed against in order to escape those who view of me was poisoned by something as simple as jealousy.
