Mikan's POV

I'm walking with Tsuzuki when I overhear a mysterious conversation. "I heard that there's a girl who uses that deadly scythe. Do you think she knows its magic?" A short guy whispers. "I don't know, but I heard that she wears a sailor suit and she's a cat." A taller guy whispers. Magic? I need answers. I walk away from Tsuzuki and towards the guys. They turn around and look frightened for a moment and then they're faces shifted into the 'amazed' look. "What magic are you talking about?" I ask. "Well...may I see your weapon?" Asked the short guy. I take my weapon off of my back and hold it out to him. He takes it and falls right on the ground. "I-it's heavy-" He exclaims. "What do you mean? It's as light as a feather." I laugh. "Well, here you take it back. I should tell you about the magic." He smiles. I pick up my scythe and he lets out a sigh of relief. Tsuzuki stays behind me and listens. "Okay, so. I'm sure you know why the ruby's are on the handle, but having a mind of its own isn't all it can do. In a way, your scythe is like a person who'll stick with you. Even if you're not using it, it'll still fight for you. The magic I was talking about, it's dark and light magic. With this scythe, dark magic is easier to control but it's weaker, and light magic is very hard to control and it's stronger. Light magic is harder to use because this scythe was made for dark magic." The short guy explains quickly. I nod my head slowly. "One more thing." The taller guy says with a slight frown. "Whoever has the other scythe is connected to you in a way. It sounds crazy, I know, but you could be connected to someone on the other side of the map or you could be connected even to a boss. If one of you dies, well then you the other dies too." The taller guy frowns. "Alright...thanks for the information. Before I go, can I get your names?" I ask. "Of course. My name is Jax. I'm a healer." Jax (short dude) states. "I'm Inuzuka. Elements user." Inuzuka (taller dude) smiles coldly. "I'm Mikan. The girl behind me is Tsuzuki." I smile back. Me and Tsuzuki decide to head out of town to get more training done.

"Hey Mikan? Can I show you a new move I'm working on?" Tsuzuki asks. "Go ahead." I say as we reach the river. Tsuzuki takes out her swords. "I found out that the sapphires amplify my ice magic." Tsuzuki chuckles. I give her a thumbs up as she steadies herself. Tsuzuki jumps into the air as high as she can, points one of her swords at the river, and freezes it. She lands on her butt, which must have hurt, but she gets up with ease. "So thats why the river has been so cold..." I laugh. "Hey there was no other water source to use!" Tsuzuki's face goes bright red. "Hah! Okay okay it was pretty cool. Work on your landing though dummy!" We burst out laughing. "You got any signature moves?" Tsuzuki asks. "Sadly no. I'll work on it though." I laugh. "Hey do you feel like it got really windy just now." Tsuzuki's pixie wings flap slightly along with her pigtails. I nod as my loose pigtails wave around along with my tail, skirt, shirt, and sailor bow. Huh? I see a big slime behind Tsuzuki. "Watch out!" I shout as I run towards her. "Huh?" Tsuzuki turns around cluelessly and screams when she sees the huge glob standing behind her. I take out my scythe and run towards the slime, pushing Tsuzuki to the side where she sits frightened. I jump and somehow smack the slime right in the eye. But before I land..."AHHH-" I scream. "NYAAAAA!!!" I continue screaming when I feel all four legs touch the ground. Wait...four? "Nya? What happened?" I look down at my furry body. Tsuzuki runs over to me and picks me up. "YOU CAN BECOME A KITTY?!?!" She shouts. Tsuzuki lets out a squeal and holds me like a baby. "Nya! Put me down!!" I shout angrily. "Fiiiinneee." Tsuzuki hesitantly puts me down on the ground. "Hmm..." I wonder how to turn to a human again. Suddenly, I feel my human body coming back to me. Wait...why is my sailor suit on the ground?
