Part 3 - interview

Ava's Pov:

The line has gone down really quickly and there is like three people in front of me. Pulling out my phone I sent a quick message to Sydney.

Ava: How did it go last night? I won't be home till dinner probs x

She won't be up yet. Putting my phone back into my purse I looked up to see that I was next in line. The door opened revealing the last person to go in and they looked pretty shaken up.

"Next please" the lady at the door taking everyone in called. Shit that's me. Taking a deep breath I walked through the door.

Walking into a sleek grey office I sat down on one of the chairs. Mr Ricci sat in front of his desk in-front of me. Looking up he caught contact with me. Holy guacamole. It's him from last night. Well shit. His green orbs were swirling with amusement.

"Well if it isn't the damsel in distress" He said smirking.
I felt my face go red as I fumbled with a pen.

"Can we just forget about that please, I don't want to think about it" I told him.

"Whatever you say love" He replied with a smile. He pulled out a file and opened it. There was a list of names with ticks next to them. He gestured to my resume and I handed it over.

"Straight A student in school? That's impressive" He looks up at me. I smile back at him. I had to sacrifice many nights out for them grades.

"Well Miss Mitchell, I say you have a pretty good chance of getting this job. My secretary will be in touch." Mr Ricci said before standing up and shaking my hand.

"Thank you" I said before walking out of his office. That was intense.

I stopped on the way to Burger King because I needed dinner and it was close. Ugh the chicken burgers there are amazing. I hope I get the job because I really need a car because I just take the bus everywhere and it was okay at first and now it's annoying.

Getting off at my stop, I walked to the apartment. There wasn't any lights on so I don't think Sydney is back yet. Taking my shoes off when I got inside I headed to my bedroom. Time for some research.

I looked up Ricci Enterprises and the first thing that popped up was a picture of Mr Ricci. His first name is Dante. Hmmmm sexy. I scrolled through and it showed that his best friend runs the company with him and it was passed down from his Dante's father.

I searched up Dante on google and loads of headlines came up. All were around rumours if he was dating and mostly trying to get in his personal life. Apparently he is the most eligible bachelor. He has been spotted out with many girls but hasn't settled down with any of them.

There was also an article on the other co founder of the company. Let's try find his name. Scrolling to the bottom I found out that his name is Kai Gallo. I'm guessing there is some Italian there in both of them judging by the last name.

Putting away my laptop I laid on my bed. My feet were killing from running to catch the bus in heels. And now I had finally returned to my wonderful bed. I was about to get under the covers when my phone pinged twice. One email and a text from Sydney.

Sydney: I'm going to be back in like an hour, I have so much to spill xx

She will probably have loads to say about the guy she went home with. Can't even remember his name. I tapped the email and it was from Ricci Enterprises. It said that they had found what they were looking for in a personal assistant and are welcoming me to the company. Shut up. I got the job. Jumping up and down on my bed I was ecstatic.

I can't wait to tell Sydney. I'll go text my brother and tell him.

Ava: Guess who got a job!!! I'm so happy haha

River: I'm so happy for you Ava❤️ you are going to ace it.

The one thing I probably miss about home is my brother. He is literally the most supportive person I know.

I heard the door close and the click of heels up the stairs. Sydney has finally come back. Jumping out of bed I pulled my door open and hugged her.

"Someone has missed me!" She said smiling.

"Sydney I got the job!" I screamed doing my happy dance.

"And you will be working with that hunk, you so lucky!" Sydney said before pulling her sleeve up. There on her wrist was a gold bracelet. It was probably more than our rent.

"Look what Aidan got me!" She said squealing.

We both went to the kitchen to get some food. Honestly I'm nervous for tomorrow but hopefully I don't mess up my first day.
