My Mafia Men

Part 4 - First Day

Ava's Pov:

I woke up the my alarm playing I see red because that's my wake up call. I've already pressed snooze three times. It was 6:00am and I was tired. Pulling my covers off me I went downstairs to get breakfast. We have no cereal in so I just had a Nutella sandwich.

Looking at the time it was 6:20, I started at 7. Enough time to get dressed and do some makeup. Putting my plate in the dishwasher I walked into my room. What to wear is the question. Something classy but not to much. Suit or a dress? I pulled out a dark burgundy dress and lifted it to see what it would look like. Good enough.

I grabbed some black heels and sat down at my dressing table. I put on some concealer, bronzer and some mascara. Grabbing my tube of lipgloss I threw it into my bag before locking up.

I caught the bus just in time and it was only a ten minute journey. I'll probably get away with waking up later. Thanking the bus driver I got off at my stop and walked through the doors. The receptionist from the other day was there. Chewing her gum loudly again.

"Just go straight through, Mr Ricci will be waiting" she said not even looking up.

Pushing the button in the elevator, I waited for it to get to the top. There was a little mirror in it so I looked in it to make sure I looked decent. There was a ping letting me know that I was here. Taking a deep breath I walked out into a big office. Mr Ricci was sat in his chair going through some papers.

"Miss Mitchell please take a seat" Dante said. His voice is sexy as fuck. I clenched my thighs together sitting down. Now it not the time Ava get it together.

"As my PA, you will be expected to be in every meeting taking notes, I'll need you to be ready for my call at any moment." He said before pulling out a big stack of files.

"I'm going to need you to put these in date order and get me a black coffee with no sugar please" Dante told me pushing the files towards me.

I took the files to my office which was connected to his, before going to the cafeteria that I had walked past in the entrance. I grabbed a black coffee for him. Just as I was about to turn around I bumped into a hard chest. The impact make my eyes water and luckily the coffee was still intact. Looking up I saw that the chest I bumped into was Kai. I recognised him from the pictures I had seen last night.

"Want to watch where you are fucking walking" He said with a harsh voice knocking me out of my thoughts. Rude. He then stormed off and left me speechless. Someone's on his man period.

Shaking my head, I walked back into Dante's office. Giving him his coffee he gave me a look.

"Took you long enough love" He said before taking a sip. I walked back to my office and started sorting the files. There was a shit ton to do.

Finishing the last of the files I yawned. I didn't expect this to take me two hours but the stack just kept going. Knocking on Mr Ricci's door I waited. There was a shuffling of feet before the door opened. His tanned face peeped out before letting me in.

"I'm guessing you have finished the files" He said walking to his desk. I nodded.

"Mr Gallo is coming through in about 10 minutes so I'm going to need you to let him in please" Dante said before running his hands through his hair. A gesture which showed he was stressed.

Nodding, I went back to my seat. My feet were killing from being in these heels all day and I can't wait to get home to my bed. The intercom buzzed showing that there was someone waiting to be let in. I got up pressing the automatic unlock and the door opened to reveal Mr Gallo. Who I had ran into this morning. Fuck sake.

"Well if it isn't Miss Clumsy" He said sneering at me. Feeling my face starting to burn I ignored his comment. Just at that moment Mr Ricci came out from the elevator.

"Kai, glad to see that you have made it" He said before taking his seat.

"I had business matters to see to which I need to discuss with you" Kai said before siting opposite Dante. His posture was very stiff as he looked tense. Compared to Dante who was laid back in his chair.

"Miss Mitchell, you can leave now" Mr Ricci said looking at me.

I went back to my office and put my things into my bag. Making sure I had left everything in check I started to make my way out. Saying bye to the receptionist I made my way to the bus stop. The next bus wasn't going to be here for an hour. And to make matters worse it was raining. Pulling my jacket closer to me I sat on the bench.

About half an hour had passed before a sleek black car pulled up next to me. The window rolled down revealing Mr Gallo.

"Get in Ava" He said clenching his jaw. Well this was the most unexpected thing ever.

I slid into the passenger seat before giving him the directions to my house. I stole a glance at him and saw his beautifully sculpted face focused on the road. His hands were huge on the steering wheel and his veins looked like thy were about to pop. New necklace please? Stop.

He dropped me off and I thanked him. Kai just nodded stiffly.

"Oh and Ava" He said making me turn to him.

"Yes?" I replied, just wanting to get inside.

"Watch where you are going tomorrow" Kai said before driving off. What a jerk. But a nice jerk for dropping me off.

Pulling my door open I saw Sydney. She looked at me with a knowing look in her eyes which said spill. Here we go.

Part 4 done! Over 1000 words, I'm quite proud. So we met Mr Gallo who seems to be quite the jerk! A good looking one though.
