Shadow the hedgehog

You were outside,all alone at night,walking to a place where no one else went.It was a lake,that was near a cliff,and you could see everything from up there.Going to this lake always calmed you down.You went to this lake to calm down whenever you were depressed or mad about something,and you were depressed right now.Your parents had died the other day,trying to save you from Mephiles,and you couldn't get over it.You just couldn't.You arrived at the lake,and sat down.You looked at your reflection,and started to cry,knowing that you will never see your parents again.Usually,when you were like this,Sonic and his friends would cheer you up,but right now,you were all alone......

"Are you ok?"said a familiar voice from behind.You wiped away the tears in your eyes,and turned around,to see the black and red hedgehog,who you knew as the Ultimate Life Form,Shadow.You and Shadow had been friends ever since you guys met.At first,you thought that he would just be the hedgehog that would always be alone,and fight the "Faker" he calls,Sonic,but when you became friends,he was actually a nice guy.He would always tell you his stories about the ARK,and about his missions in G.U.N. and he would be by your side at any time.

You looked at Shadow,holding back the pain inside,that wanted to escape your eyes,and roll down your cheek."Y-Ya.........I-I'm fine........."you said.Shadow didn't believe it,and said,"(Y/N),you know you can tell me anything,and you know it."You didn't want to say anything,but Shadow was worried about you."Its......I-Its just that........"You started,but saying this was too painful,and you didn't want your best friend to see you cry."My............my parents.......they're.........they're........"You tried to continue,but you couldn't,you just couldn't."They're gone......"You finally said,as tears started to run down your cheek.

Shadow looked at you,abit shocked,and depressed.He knew how much pain and misery you were suffering right now.You kept crying,until you felt someone embracing you.It was Shadow,and he was hugging you."Shadow........i know your trying to cheer me up......but,its not going to work......."Shadow let you go,and looked into your eyes."You think your all alone........don't you (Y/N)........."It was true.The thought of no one there for you,ached your heart,and especially your soul.

"Your not alone.....I'm here for you."Said Shadow.He got closer to you,making you blush abit,but you looked away from him.Shadow sigh,and lifted your chin up,saying,"Look,your not alone.You will never be alone.I'm here for you,and i wont let Mephiles hurt you."You smiled abit,and he wiped away the tears in your eyes.Then,he got closer,and closer,until your lips pressed together,causing you to blush even more,but you would melt into the kiss,and kiss him back.

Your lips seperated because of the urge for air,and you stayed with him that night.And so,you finally realized you weren't alone.You had someone by your side.And that was Shadow.
