The next morning I got dressed, ate my breakfast, and hurried over to 136 Hartland Avenue. Whenever I got there, I didn't see anyone. "Its a trick isn't it?" I was pretty mad, I actually thought that The REAL Professor Layton had asked me to help him with an investigation. I started walking away when I heard a voice that sounded like a little boy. I turned and saw a boy that looked about eight years old. He was wearing a blue hat, blue long-sleeved shirt, and brown trousers. He was carrying some kind of bag, a satchel, I think. " Ayano! Over here!" The boy screamed. I ran over to him. "Where's the Professor?"

"He's in his office at Grensenheller University. We are going to take th bus to see him. Oh, and I'm Luke Triton, the Professor's apprentice."

"Nice to meet you, Luke." I said. On the bus Luke told me everythng about the case so far. Whenever we got to the university, the Professor greeted us. "Hello, miss Ayano. I have informed you in the letter that there has been a terrible case of murder in the Stewart Household. Have I not?" The Professor tipped his top hat and held his hand out to shake mine.

"Yes, nice to meet you." Both of them were smiling at me. The Professor is quite the gentleman if you ask me. "We should be heading to our destination. We have no time to lose." Said the Professor. The first place we needed to go was the Stewart Household. Once we arrived, a man in a very nice suit lead us to the owner of the house. His name was Damien. "You must be Hershel Layton?" The man asked. "I need proof before I let you explore my house. Solve this puzzle for me, and I will trust you to be the real Professor. " Fifteen people are trapped aboard a ship that's going to sink in exactly twenty minutes. The only chance for survival is the five-person life raft stored on their vessel. To make matters worse, there are sharks swimming in the water by the boat. So swimming to safety is out of the question. A round-trip to the nearest island and back is nine minutes on the raft. How many people will live to see dry land? This puzzle was pretty hard for me, but when you think about it, its just a simple math problem. If it takes nine minutes then... "Thirteen! Thirteen people live to see dry land!" I said. "Can you believe it Professor? Ayano just solved that puzzle before we did!" Said Luke.

"My, you are quite the puzzle solver Ayano."

"Thank you Professor." I said.

"Ah, you must be the real Professor Layton then." Said Damien.

Damien led us around tje house and showed us the rooms we would be staying in. I slept in one room when the Professor and Luke stayed in the other room. It was hard trying to fall asleep that night, worrying something might happen over night.
