wooyoung's pov

i started at the building that towered over me, i looked down at the piece of paper i got in the mail, stating my schedule and my dormitory, with a small diagram of the building at the bottom.

following the map, i finally got to my assigned room. i timidly pushed open the door, peeping round the corner to see if anyone was there.

there were 2 beds in the back left corner, a small bedside table separating them, a bookshelf next to one of the beds, nearer to the door there was a black sofa which sat in front of a tv which was engraved into the wall, a small gap round the outside for wires and such.

on the other side of the door there was a small makeshift kitchen which held a couple countertops, a microwave, an oven, a sink and a fridge but nothing really special.

overall the form was small, but cozy and homely.

"you gonna come in or what?" a voice said in a half joking, half stern tone.

i quickly jolted into the room, closing the door behind me.

"yeah sorry, i'm jung wooyoung." i said with a smile to the new found person.

he nodded at me, not really showing much emotion. "taeyoung." he said simply. trudging over to his bed.

i contemplated his appearance, he had cute rounded cheeks and his eyes were definitely on the bigger side, as well as his hair being parted down the middle which framed his face nicely, it shines in the light the shade of blondish grey shimmering nicely which complemented his pale skin tone. on top of all that he was really tall, like really fucking tall.

despite his cutesy look, so far his personality has been anything but that.

"so uhm.... why are you here?" i asked awkwardly, whilst unzipping my suitcase, i know it was a dumb question, and i also knew that he knew it was a dumb question.

"same reason anyone else is here. parents don't care about me enough to take care of me." he said looking at me like i was stupid, just like i thought he would.

"that's not true, every parent loves their kids." i said, still unpacking the neatly folded clothing.

"if that's true then why are you here?" he asked, which sounded more like a statement, i looked over at him, to meet his eyes giving me the cockiest glare which screamed 'i'm smarter than you'.

i sighed, figuring i might as well explain since he was my roommate.

"my dad left when i was 14. last year my older brother moved out so my mom left and took my little brother with her to try and find my dad. me and my older brother always knew that he wouldn't come back but my mom lured herself into the sense of false hope that he will, and when he didn't, she took it upon herself to make him.... i guess" i explained, staring at the pile of clothes in front of me.

"you basically just proved my point" he huffed, lying down on his bed instead of the uncomfortable sitting position he was in before.

an awkward silence filled the room, lingering for a few seconds too long, before taeyoung decided to break it, much to my surprise.

"you said you dad left when you were 14. how old are you now?" he asked, almost sounding genuinely curious, key word, almost.

"18.... why.." i said, shooting him a look.

he looked me up and down then snickered to himself. "you're 18? really? with your height, i doubt it." he laughed.

"wait what's that supposed to mean- how old are you?" i asked now bringing all my attention to him.

"16" he said simply, not returning the amount of interest i showed in him.

i let out a small "jesus christ" under my breath. i knew he heard it but he decided not to comment.

i brought some basic cooking ingredients with me, eggs, flour, sugar, stuff like that. i shuffled along the hard wood floor towards the fridge, opening it to be greeted with numerous bags of blood which to my surprise were organised scarily neatly for the type of person taeyoung seemed to be.

"you're a vampire?" i asked, turning back to him.

"nah i just like drinking blood." he said with obvious sarcasm dripping from every word he let out. "to be honest i thought your would've payed more attention." he stated, seeming to instantly be at my side.

he snickered, and moved some of the bags to one side of the fridge, holding most on them in the fridge door, out of the way.

with the borderline close proximity i noticed another feature of his, eyes eyes from which i earlier believed to just be a very dark brown actually had a purple tinge to them, making them a sort of wine colour.

he backed away, off back to his bed, leaving me to my own devices without a word.

i wanted to make taeyoung kinda a bitch but i can't bring myself to make him be mean he's a literal sweetheart omg

after i finished unpacking i sat on my bed, taking out my phone, texting jaehyun telling him that i moved in okay like he told me to do.

after only a couple seconds of comfort there was a faint knock at the door, i rolled my eyes, wondering who it would be, but before i could stand up, taeyoung was already at the door, noticeably more perky than before.

he opened the door, in the door way, stood another person who taeyoung immediately dragged inside.

"my friends round." he said looking at me as if he wasn't stating the obvious.

his friends laughed at him, slapping him arm playfully, then looking at me.

"hello, i'm ahn seongmin. i'm in year 11 like taeyoung, thank you for letting me round" he said politely smiling at me.

i smiled back and nodded, his presence instantly brightening the before awkward atmosphere.

he was really short, only coming up to just under taeyoung's nose. like taeyoung, he had big eyes and round cheeks, his eyes were an icy blue, indicating he was an angel, a peculiar match to taeyoung being a vampire.

his voice was extremely high pitched, but not in an annoying squeaky way, even though it was so high pitched it was still smooth and soft.

he had black hair that fell neatly over his forehead, and had eyes that rounded into crescent moons when he smiled, to say he's cute would be an understatement.

"okay, just tell him how cute he is and stop staring, he knows he's cute, he doesn't need your verification" taeyoung said, i couldn't really tell if he was joking for not due to his voice, but either way, within the blink of an eye he was sitting on the sofa, waiting for seongmin to join him.

"i'm sorry about him, he's really nice once you get to know him" seongmin apologised.

i nodded in understanding, i mean we kinda had to get along since we were roommates and all, and if only known him for about half an hour.

"i'm wooyoung by the way" i said. he nodded, the smile still plastered on his face.

"i'm seongmin- wait." after realising what he said, he ran over to taeyoung, joining him on the sofa, hiding his face in taeyoung's neck, whilst taeyoung smiled at him.

it's the first time i'd seen him smile since i got here, it was cute.
