"Deep into that darkness, peering. Long I stood there, wondering... fearing... doubting..."

I swear I was seeing things. Going crazy. My mind was making me go insane.
One minute, I'm stuck in a hallway, with some... Thing, and the next, Adam is screaming at me. But not the angry kind of screaming. The kind of screaming when you're out of your mind worried.
And now... Now I can't even begin to explain. One minute, I'm fumbling for words, trying to clear my head, and the next, I'm pushed up against lockers, being told to shut up.
"Rayin! Listen to me. I have to get you out of here! You have to focus!" Adam's voice had a gentle, yet commanding tone about it.
"I fully intend to.." I mumble, still at a loss for words, trying to gather what happened.
The next thing I know, he's pulling me out the doors of the school, and to his truck.
"You know what that thing was?" Adam asks, curious.
"No. I have no clue.." I mumble, watching the ground as we walked.
"It was a Kiñeta.." He growled, yanking the door open, and pushing me into the truck's passenger side.
He slammed the door shut behind me, and rushed over to the drivers' side, and he started the car.
"Look, I don't care if you hate me, want to kill me, or are mentally picturing my death, I have to keep you alive, and get you out of here." Adam explained.
"But I-"
"You're not going to your home. I'm taking you home. To my home." He stops me from seeming stupid, fumbling for words.
"Adam, let me talk.." I mumbled, finally able to think straight.
He huffed a deep breath, and practically floored the gas, and started pulling out of the parking lot.
"Fine. Talk."
"I never said, I wanted to kill you, or hated you, I just want to know what the hell that thing was, and how you knew I was there.."
"It was a Kiñeta." He repeated, glancing at me, expectantly.
"What is a Kiñeta?" I questioned, slowly getting my track of thinking back.
"It's a woman scorned and turned into a soul-eating bitch, like you." He smirked, looking at me through the corner of his eye.
I frowned. "How did you know where to find me?"
He just smirked, and shook his head as we pulled up, to an old, seeming to be crumbling old mansion-like home. The man who took my dad away to the hospital was standing in the yard, waiting.
I made the assumption, that this man was not Adam's dad.
"I can't just stay here.."
"Just don't do anything stupid. Crevan doesn't appreciate smart-asses." Adam mumbled, slipping off his sunglasses, and slipping out of the car.
