He forcefully dragged her further with him, holding her wrist in a tight grip so it wouldn't slip out.

Suddenly she stopped, snatching her wrist away from his harsh grip.

He passed her a look of bewilderment mixed with aggravation.

Looking at her parents she stepped down from the podium.

"Let's go!" She stated to her parents gravely.

"Where do you think you're going?" He barked.

"Away from a monster like you."

"So you don't want to marry the monster you last night claimed to love."

"Just when I thought you couldn't stoop more low, you proved me wrong. What a disgusting excuse of a man you are. I would die instead of marrying you."

"Khushi don't be ridiculous, get over here! We'll complete the saat pherey you were so desperate for and finally be married. Come here!"

But she payed him no heed and walked ahead with her family alongside.

Her ignorance riled him further.

Running towards her he pulled her back, tugging hard at her wrist, viciously grabbing her face, pinching her cheeks painfully.

Her eyes widened. What evil spirit had come in this man?

"Don't you understand when I told you not to ignore me."

Fear flashed in her eyes which caused him to loose his hold on her cheeks. He could see his fingerprints on her face, on her arms, on her wrist but he knew he'd apologize later and she'd forgive.

Little did he know, thinking that he could take her for granted again was absolutely false this time.

His brothers shouted at him, pulled him back to create a distance between the two but he remained planted on his spot.

"You can't do this Khushi."

"Why can't I do this when you can do all that? Do you only have the right to decide for everyone, especially when it comes to me. You've played my future on your fingertips like a game, deciding everything for me without my consent, forcing me into things I never wanted to do. And just when I thought you finally realized your wrongs, you come and do all this on our.... on our wedding day." Her voice cracked at the end.

She continued, "you had the nerve to call me and my mother names, again, without any proof. I apologize for everything that happened in your past, it shouldn't have. But don't you dare drag my mother into this. It must be your disgusting father who you too hate in the wrong. I-"

He raised his hand to hit her when a sudden realization hit him hard and he backed away, everyone roughly pulling at his shoulders to maintain a distance between him and Khushi. He could see her eyes widen further, fat tears pooled in them yet they didn't dare to escape.

"I want nothing more to do with you anymore. Forget we ever had a past. Forget we ever met. Forget we ever were going to marry. Because we are over from this day. There's no future for us nor there ever was. But one suggestion for you Mr Raizada, get a therapist, you direly need one."

With her head held high she walked out with her family.

Damn the wedding and damn him, she knew she deserved better. Who the hell turned up to their wedding, with such disgusting thoughts and assumptions clouded in their mind that too without proof. He had almost slapped her, on their wedding day. Was that normal? Was this something that happened often on wedding days just because of some misconceptions?

He had proved to be the monster he was, proved that he could never be tamed, proved that even unconditional and sacrificing love couldn't change him.

She felt sorry for him, wholeheartedly, for what had happened to him in his past, but acting like this was abnormal. Hadn't she given him all her love despite every brutality, despite every vicious behavior of his? He had turned her life upside down in a snap of fingers, even then she kept quiet. But enough was enough.

Till how long would this go on if they stayed together. One day someone would jump in and fill his ears again which he again would believe easily. He had taken her for granted from the very beginning and Khushi was very well aware of that but it was her love for him that made her overlook it. It was her love that invigorated her to be with him despite him thinking of her as the most worthless person, despite him not giving her any respect, despite him criticizing her for her financial status.

But...

Love wasn't everything. Especially in today's world, love wasn't considered half of what it was years ago. There were many other things which were much more integral than love in this world. In today's world.

No matter how much it hurts, NEVER LET HIM PLAY WITH YOU AGAIN. Khushi had very strictly made up her mind.
