I kept falling and falling...
Then it stopped. I landed on something that wasn't hard, but it wasn't quite soft either.
Then it grunted.
I held in my scream and started running only for it to wake up and grab me.
It sounded like whatever it was snapped, and lights turned on.
"Who are you who dares enter through the portal from the human dimension to the magical dimension?" It asked me in a voice that was raspy and old.
"I am Rosie." I said, a little scared that this thing might eat me. "What's your name?"
As soon as I said Rosie he had gone to the floor, put me down, and bowed. "I am but a humble guardian of the gate, your highness, my name is Geuk, Princess Rosie."
What did he mean, princess?
"I think you have me mistaken with someone else."
"No, I know you anywhere, Princess, it is you, the prophecy is coming true! We will have a righteous ruler again! Thank you for returning, Rosie, I hope you will find our kingdom not completely a mess, your highness. Have you acquired your Phoenix, Mapel, yet?"
"Yeah." When she heard her name, Mapel flew out of my hands and landed on Geuk.
"Ah, I see you have. But don't let me waste your time, go along and find the prophecy and fulfill it."
Why wouldn't anyone tell me what the prophecy was? It was starting to bother me. A lot.
I said goodbye to Geuk and set off along the path he told me.
