When Cora entered her room again, now wearing shorts, Harry was just in the middle of throwing his phone on the night stand, a bit too angrily in her opinion, but who was she to judge.

“Oh, you’re back,” he stated, turning around and crossing his arms. “Can I use the bathroom? Just to splash a little water on me face.”

“Yeah, go ahead,” Cora answered, scratching the nape of her neck. The tension was back again, it felt like they were only feeling relatively okay around each other when they were arguing. That was what they were used to after all.

When Harry left the room with a cheeky smile, she went for the bed and dived into the sheets, a content smile on her face that she had a few minutes for herself. She didn’t really mind company at all, but Harry’s company kept her on edge continuously, she could never let her mind go, she could never relax. At least that’s what she thought.

She grabbed her laptop to fire up a movie, not waiting for Harry’s opinion on their choice. She mindlessly searched through the site until she decided on Arizona Dream, one of her all time favourites. She wasn’t in the mood for anything fresh, anything new that needed comprehension. She just wanted to shut down for a few hours. Arizona Dream was perfect for that. It was complete bullshit, but she really loved the feeling when Paul was driving out of the city with Axel sleeping in the back after he got him drunk out of his mind, so that he could kidnap him for their uncle’s wedding. The car was gliding through the neon lights and the noises of the night, and then through the empty desert at dawn, the first light of the morning sun hitting Axel awake like he was in a dream. Those were the best moments of the film in Cora’s opinion, nothing special, just the vibe of freedom, when nothing really matters, only the wind against your cheeks in the racing car.

Harry came back with a fresh looking face, already ripping the jeans down his legs. Cora was watching his rushed movements with a smirk, promising herself that she won’t sleep with him, no matter what. Harry was so good-looking that even his questionable personality could have been disregarded, but of course Cora deemed herself better than that. She remembered what he had told her at the party last week, that she could never seduce him, but she didn’t believe him at all. He was too much of a slag nowadays to reject her.

The smell of minty toothpaste hit her when Harry crawled into bed, purposely coming too close to her, but she just rolled her eyes, pressing play on the movie. They settled next to each other in a comfortable proximity, Harry moving a little lower so that his pillow was pushed up against Cora’s shoulder.

“Did you rinse your mouth with toothpaste Harry.”

“Yeah, what are we watching?” He let out a little puff of air, pulling the covers over his bare legs.

“Arizona Dream. You know you aren’t going to sleep here, so you didn’t have to use toothpaste...” She stopped the film.

“What if I told you I used your toothbrush?” He wriggled his eyebrows while Cora’s went up in horror.

“You did not! Did you?” He was giving her the smirk again, the immature bastard that he was. “Harry.”

“I didn’t. Why can’t I crash here by the way? “As if he only got the idea, he pulled his two necklaces over his head and placed them next to his phone, indicating that in fact he was going to sleep over.

“I don’t know, I’m just not up for it. I like my space. Don’t you think people have to spend some time alone every now and again?” Cora asked, pulling out the band from her hair, because she felt like she needed to do something.

“Of course, but why now? We just watch a movie and relax, yeah?”

“Couldn’t you be any cooler.” Cora snorted the sarcastic comment looking away from him, starting the film on her laptop. “Have you seen it by the way?”
