Summer rolled around faster than Quinn had even realized. Niall made partner months ago and since then, their routine became something that Quinn relied heavily on. They'd gone from barely speaking in a week to eating dinner every night.

It varied. Sometimes they cooked at Quinn's and sometimes they ordered in. It was all a haze of banter that lead right into the bedroom. It was the happiest and most at peace Niall had been with his life in a while. Quinn didn't have too many complaints either. Maybe just that Niall hogged the sheets at night.

Mid august marked their seventh month together and it was almost nauseating how in love they were. Evie hated them with every passing second they spent together. Which is why the solution was almost perfect.

Evie had gotten certified as a yoga instructor and started making decent money. Quinn spent almost all of her time at Niall's anyways. When the idea was proposed, it was almost a bit odd that Evie mentioned it.

"You guys should just move in together," Evie joked. It was an innocent comment that had Quinn sitting like a deer in headlights.

"We do spend a lot of time together," Niall agreed, chuckling. But his intention was never more that.

It was Quinn who almost lost it at the dinner table. She took a gulping sip of water. Evie looked over at her, eyebrows raising. "Oh here we go she's about to freak out."

Quinn set her cup down, breathing a bit heavy. Niall looked at her, eyes a bit wide. "Why?"

"She has commitment issues, obviously," Evie rolled her eyes. She leaned forward. "do ya need a paper bag."

Quinn pushed Evie away, shaking her head. The idea seemed absurd. To move in together. Seven months was a long time and spending days at a time together was easy for them. They weren't sick of each other just yet.

Who's to say that wouldn't happen if they moved in? And they were stuck in a lease together. That sounds like Quinn's worst nightmare.

"It was just a joke," Niall told her, eyes filling concern. "If the thought of moving in with me makes you do that maybe we've got something to talk about."

"No it's..." Quinn rushed out, head falling to her hands. "It's not that. I just can't help but think of everything that could go wrong? Getting stuck in a lease? Hating each other?"

Niall let out a self deprecating laugh. "Both of which would be a result of a breakup. Obviously you think we're going to break up."

"I don't think we're going to break up," Quinn argued, weakly at best.

Evie let out a breath, standing up to set her plate in the sink. She gave Niall a reassuring pat on the shoulder and made her exit.

"That's not convincing," Niall crossed his arms over his chest, staring at her from across the table.
