Mom: you look nice lupita
Elena: mhm
I sit on the island chair. I look at the clock and it said 12:30pm. The party was supposed to end at 6:30pm so we have six long hours h ahead of us. Everybody was getting ready to come on in and i was on the couch with no expression drinking water.
Anna: hi Elena!
Elena: hi. I say with an attitude
Anna: are you okay? You have been very down lately
Elena: yeah im fine, after your boyfriend tells you he will be back and never come back and its the day of his daughter bday yeah im fine Anna. How are you? I say walking upstairs
Mom: I'll go talk to her
I sat on my bed and looked around. Nothing is going to change.
Mom: lupita are you okay?
Elena: no ma ma, what do you think? Im fine? Because that is so wrong. I say with my voice cracking
Mom: honey talk to me
Elena: i dont want too
Mom: you have too
Elena: it Mattia. He lied ma, he lied to me. He told me he would be back and never came back! I say crying on her shoulder
She pats my back and says nothing. She knew my pain, she knew that i was mentally hurting. All the lies i have been told and stuff mattia put me through always came out in tears never uh- "baby im sorry i didnt mean to hurt you" that is even a lie. If you love someone so much why would you put them through this.
Mom: i know you are hurting. But do this for Chloe its her birthday. Remember when mattia didnt show up to Mateo birthday and you made it that whole day with a smile, you can do it today. She said with a tear falling down her cheek
Elena: thanks ma ma. I hug her
I smile and she pats my back
Mom: now come on so you can give a speech about 4 year old Chloe!
I laugh and walk downstairs. I walk out to the mini house and grab the microphone.
Elena: hello people, thank you so much for coming to Chloe Maria polibio birthday party-
Everyone: woooo!

Elena: i hope everyone is having a good time. We are here because this is either a family or friend who invited you. Now mind you we love friends n' family so why wouldnt you be here. I wanted to say it has been the best 4 years of my life with my baby girl. I love you Maria. *I wave to her*
Chloe: love you too mommy! She smile
Elena: this has been the best years of my life. Now unfortunately mattia isnt here....
*silence*
Elena: but we can still have fun without him. I say with a tear rolling down my cheek putting on a fake smile. "Everybody ready?"
Everybody: ofc!
I get off of the stage thing and start walking around. I was greeting people who had just arrived.
James: hi sweetie long time no see
Elena: i havent saw you in months where you go
James: still in New jersey just been on the whole with the whole police stuff
Elena: oh well its nice seeing you again. I smile
James:same baby, same
Mom: well we should do the cake!
Elena: uh- yeah why not. Everyone kitchen for bday song! I yell
Everybody came to the kitchen, i lit the candle and everyone was singing happy birthday. I wasnt tho. I was to sad to even put my head up. My mind was racing with thoughts about mattia my mind was going crazy. My mom lut her hand on my shoulder and gave her a fake smile to make her think I was okay. After she made her wish and blew out the candle i sat back on the couch.
Kairi: you look nice today
Elena:thanks kairi
Kairi: no problem
He sits next to me and i put my head on his shoulder
Elena: i miss us as friends
Kairi: we still are
Elena: but as close friends
Kairi: true I miss that too
I chuckle.
Elena: what is tho most remembered memory you have of me?
Kairi: uh....when Mateo fell on the sand at the beach that one time and you cleaned off his knees with water
I laugh because I remember that so well.
Elena: i remember that too. I giggle
Kairi: yeah favorite memory
Chloe: the cake is good. She said walking up to me
Elena: it is?
She now yes and Mateo gets on the couch
Mateo: this party is fun. He smile
Elena: great, i have to go pee
I walked upstairs and went to pee. My mind was still racing and I wanted to cry so bad. My life was a hot mess and I couldnt be more upset, sad, depressed, confused all at once. I heard the music stop downstairs and I rolled my eyes.
Elena: who stopped the vibe? I whispered to myself
I walked downstairs and no way.....
Mattia: i wanted to say I love you. He said slowly turning his head to look at me with the biggest smile.
I felt tears in my eyes. It was him the one I have been waiting for, for 2 months. He is here. I cover my mouth and he got off the stage thing and gave me a big hug. I didnt know if it was real or not so I hugged him back. His hair was longer, he smelled way better than last time, his hugs were tighter, his smile was brighter and he was just better in general.
Mattia: i missed you
Elena: i missed you too Mattia. I say hugging him tighter
Mom: see i told you it would get better. She said with a smile
I gave off a short laugh and the kids walked up to us.
