"Sanskar!!" Swara's eyes jerked open as she sat on the bed with a horrified expression. She looked around herself and found herself on the bed, in the same room she slept last night.

Last Night!? What happened last night?

She looked around and saw Sanskar sleeping in the sitting position.

"Sanskar," She shook his shoulder slowly and he seemed to realize her voice as he struggled to open his eyes. He was definitely a heavy sleeper the way he was having difficulty in waking up.

"Swara, You okay? You fainted in my arms last night!" Sanskar sounded worried, not angry, or hurt like last night.

"In Your Arms?" She asked and he nodded. Worry all over his face.

"I made you lay down on the bed and I was going to give you water but you fainted. I called the doctor, he said you fainted out of stress," He revealed while she kept looking at him like he was some alien.

"Swara!" He held her shoulder and shook it lightly causing her to come out of her thoughts.

"It was a dream! A nightmare!" She murmured to herself, still in the effect of that nightmare. But what confused her was why did she dream of Sanskar throwing her out?

"Hah! I am sorry, Sanskar! I had a dream, a terrible one, and I!" She bites her lower lip to control the sob while he shooked his head.

"You believe in dreams? It was a dream, Swara. Dreams do not come true. Whatever it was, forget it because it is never going to happen." Unknowingly he gave the assurance that he was never going to throw her out and this made her smile brightly.

"You are right, Sanskar. That was just a stupid dream." She exclaimed and he nodded with a small smile on his face.

"Yeah! Now go and freshen up. We will have breakfast and then go to the bakery." He said softly and she nodded.

"Sanskar, clothes?" She asked and he nodded.

"For now wear mine. Your clothes are coming." He said and she giggled. Clothes do not have feet! Do they? He glared at her playfully knowing the meaning behind her giggle and she laughed out loud.

As she went into the washroom, Sanskar wiped the lone tear that escaped his eye.

It was not just a dream but a nightmare that they both had lived.

He had opened the door after fifteen minutes realizing that throwing her out was the worst decision. The goons, that were still behind her may caught her. They might take her back to the place she ran away from or worse, they might kill her.

However, He was shocked when he saw her on the floor, unconscious. He immediately picked her up and brought her in the same room. He called the doctor who told him that stress was the reason behind her state.

As the doctor went, He sat there near her, trying to take in her presence. The beautiful girl, he was kissing couldn't be his. She was married. She belonged to someone else.

He lied to her because he didn't have enough courage to accept all that. He can handle the situation. He can pretend as if it never happened. It won't be that difficult. Right?

That day, for the first time after three long years, Sanskar stood in front of the large frame of his father, mother, and younger brother. He had kept them in the Mandir instead of any other room. The Mandir, was his mother, Sujata's favorite place. She used to sing the Bhajans with such devotion that their family would drown themselves in her melodious voice.

He remembered, how his younger brother, Anirudh, fell from his bike injuring himself badly. He was in hospital for two weeks. His mother would sit in front of the idol of Radha Krishna kept in the mandir and cry her heart out, praying for his fast recovery.

"Sanskar!" Sanskar heard her voice and looked behind to see her coming in the navy blue Salwar Kameez. Her hair left open with loose natural curls at the end. Her face void of any makeup. He had ordered Sharmila to get a new set of clothes for Swara and thankfully Sharmila got the right size.

"Tch," He came to her and held the duppata which hung loosely at both sides. He slowly kept it on her head. Her eyes bend down as he admired her for a second.

"My Mom used to say that whenever you come to pray, don't leave your head uncovered," He confessed and she looked up.

"I didn't c-come to pray," She said and he frowned. Seeing this she continued," I don't believe in God!" His frowned deepened and she sighed.

"Why?" He asked and she shooked her head.

"Just like that. He didn't give me any reasons to," She said and he nodded. He held her wrist gently and dragged her to his family's picture.

"My parents, Mr.Ram Prasad Maheshwari and Mrs.Sujata Ram Prasad Maheshwari and my younger brother, Anirudh Maheshwari!" Swara nodded as she realized how much Anirudh and Sanskar looked similar. They had almost the same eyes and same pair of lips, tho Anirudh looked very young. Sujata Maheshwari was beautiful. And complimented her husband, Ram Prasad Maheshwari perfectly. They looked like a happy royal family to Swara.

"My mother is beautiful, Right?" He asked and she didn't miss the use of "Is" instead of "Was" in his sentence.

"She was, beautiful, very beautiful," Swara completed taking small pauses and he nodded, getting her meaning.

"Yeah right, she was!" He exclaimed and she nodded with a smile.

"Let's go!" He said but stopped as he saw her joining hands in front of the large frame. She touched Ram and Sujata's feet on the frame and then touched her forehead, lips and then ran it on her head.

Sanskar stood there frozen, looking at her actions. She turned to him and smiled beautifully, the smile, he knew one would die for.

"Let's go!" She said and left the Mandir while he looked at the frame again.

"Sanskar, shaadi usdin karna jis din tumhe aisi ladki mile joh tumhare Maa-Baap ko tumhare jitni izzat de!"

His father's words echoed in his ears and he looked down, blinking his wet eyelashes slowly.

To Be Continued.
